I think Boyd would be great for people wanting to start with flatbeds. I started with flatbeds in 93 with Builders Transportation the old green and yellow trucks. Boyd has been around for a long time which says a lot. I enjoy your videos. I been thinking on flat bedding again also. I might buy one. I am with Landstar now.
@@LoveandLifeLLC good luck fam. I been there 4 months. And been broke down in 2 different trucks. I been down 4 or 5 times. They go down the same day leaving the shop smh
Damn that’s messed up for real. Only slight issue I ever had was I needed to realign my radar and that only took 30 minutes. Had that truck 3 months now and that’s the only issue….. fingers crossed anyways 😂
I called into to boyd cause your video was interesting. Was told no manuals, and told 36-48 month leases on 21-22 t680s only. 890 a week payment. Thats way over priced, 36 months on a 21 with 300k miles is 130k. That truck at any dealership is 60k all day. Its impossible to find a good lp at this point. Closest i found was lone mountain
I have a 2020, yeah my payment is $883 but my lease was only 1 year and 6 months. Now I have 1 year and 2 months left and no balloon payment. Their newer trucks are definitely more expensive and a longer lease
Bro you don't want to train, over time trainees will tear your truck up and boyd will not help you with the bill. I have a friend that's been with Boyd his truck is a few months away from being paid off... His clutch and some other things went out.. 7k bill bro and what you think Boyd did lol . The trainer has to foot that bill... If you want to train company is the way to go I'm telling you Nobody will drive your truck as smooth as you do . Especially someone fresh out of school but that's just me these trucks aren't the best as it is.
Yea I feel what u saying. I’ve been a trainer at 2 other companies and some students will act like the trucks and not yours lol. I don’t mind teaching but before I let even my paint get chipped, I’ll drop them back off at the terminal 😂
Boyd seems a better fit for you man. Happy to see you doing good and you seem happier. Stay safe out there! Keep on trucking 🤙🏽
Definitely happier and thanks 😎
Positive attitude as always! Glad you found a company that you’re happy with.
Most definitely ✊🏽 Happier than I’ve been in a long time

Landstar was great to me! I was there for a year! Boyd is definitely a beginner friendly company for flatbed. I’m enjoying it so far
They want reduce idle time with no apus?
The company trucks have apus
Any manuals ?
They have some rare Petes that are manuals. Not 100% sure on any Freightliner or other ones
Do you get a load board
Yes sir
Man all them lease trucks is a piece of $hit. I had 2 trucks broke down on me the same day they came out the shop. I don’t see how people work there
Definitely a bad experience… I’d feel the same if I went thru that but so far I haven’t had any issues outta my truck
