But if you watch the MJ interviews he mentioned he got wrapped up in the lifestyle that fame brought him, and then it started to take away from his career and then he realized he was potentially going to lose all the stuff he gained from hard work and dedication. He committed more of his time to the actual craft that got him there in the first place. If you guys watched Canelo‘s recent fight he talked about how he went into the mountains for three months to train. But every time you watch Israel Adesanya‘s videos, he’s munching on junk food and living up the life which again there’s nothing wrong with that, but they say the drive and motivation isn’t the same when you’re waking up in silk sheets
What's the point of retaining that arduous life of a champion? He knows becoming a champion is an attainable byproduct of living that life. He'll remain a champ so long as he continues leading that life -- and if he stops, he will no longer remain a champ. Nothing wrong with stopping. I hope he stops actually. What's the point of doing it again for him? The same can be said of Canelo. I see no point in doing it over and over and over again unless they're it's a) fun or b) they're financially dependent on it.

For example, if someone has an established history of excellence in academia, you can extrapolate the high likelihood of a decent SAT score in the near future. With that being said there is little value gained in defending your title 5 vs 7 times relative to the potential value lost in other areas/endeavors.
