  • This video is made to give you an impression on how much dust is accumulated in time, during the operation of the aircraft. This dust is coming from the air, day in day out, present in the aircraft, with thousands of passengers going in and out of the same aircraft, leaving the dust and dirt behind, transported through the air circulation vents and through the air return grills.
    What you see is the dust accumulated in approx 4000/5000 flight hours. During a heavy maintenance check all sidewalls, ceilings and grills are removed and the area behind it cleaned from dust.
    Especially the electrical parts must be cleaned to comply with the EZAP on EWIS regulations. See ata 05 for more information about them Enhanced Zonal Analysis Procedure (EZAP) and associated Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS).

    Dear people, this is more than normal, and just to be clear, ALL A/C are the same after one or two years. Of course after hevy maint check they can get clean. But it's nothing that can cause issues during the AC operations

    Looks same as in drier room. What can you expect! 150+ people /flight. Lots of clothes and skin 😀 Nothing one decompression can solve 😊

    Thank you for this video, It's really informative and on the point of the EWIS scope that we engineers must be aware. Please let me know if i could show this video to initial students and recurrent students in order to emphasise on the contamination factors.

    That's not just dust.
    That's dead skin from all the passengers.
    Accumulates in eddie pockets in the aeroplane as the cabin air swirls its way from the air intakes to the outflow valves at the back of the cabin.

    Dear 737maint would it be possible to produce a video in detail on how do you clean this part of the aircraft? and also I am very technical incline I just love this videos, I mean I can watch your videos over and over but I am not a professional as you guys, I am an inspire aircraft mechanic, my only problem is I live in a small town pretty much away from the big city and I have a full-time job with very little time left for me, so my option left is to study this class that I love so much "online" any advise please, thank you so much.

    and how do they expect a plane not to crash with such tons of dust

    • @norbert.kiszka
      @norbert.kiszka 2 года назад

      Where you see tons of dust? Every commercial aircraft gets regular maintenance according to manufacturer instructions. I dont see any, even smallest problem.

    How is so much dust is accumulated? Where did they come from?

    • @norbert.kiszka
      @norbert.kiszka 2 года назад

      Dust is coming from air. Its normal - even in typical house You need to clean dust from time to time. This is a cargo area, not passenger cabin.

    that can cause a fire big time

    • @norbert.kiszka
      @norbert.kiszka 2 года назад +1

      Without temperature, there is no fire. For fire you need fuel (burning material), oxidizer (most common oxidizer is oxygen...) and temperature. Every plane, every car, and every house can catch fire, because everywhere we have materials that can start fire with both oxygen (from air) and temperature (from anything). Better to start worry about your home electrical installation than anything in this aircraft (not saying anything about passengers cargo - including cheap chinese smartphones or cheap powerbanks - most people are stupid enough to buy this things...).

    what operator was this aircraft with?

    • @737maint
      @737maint  4 года назад +1

      All 737NG operators have this because the 737NG airflow / design is such that this a/c type collects dust on the same places , it just takes time. Therefore the maintenance interval is such that it will be cleaned regularly.

      There are big cabin air filters filtering that dust. Of course you will breath in some really small particles, but you breath them in everywhere, even your home.
