Phenomenal. I can only imagine the time and effort you put into this piece. It absolutely captures the essence of NMS and I believe, as you were saying that this is definitely something game developers experience. The ups and downs of the creative process and to see an end result that you are never happy with, because you will always see ways to improve it or make it "better". Sean said this exact thing in his most recent interview and you display that same notion in this video. Absolutely breathtaking.
Thos is gorgeous and as a fellow artist who struggles with when to leave the a piece the way it is before it is reveal to the public to bare with their own eyes, your mindset is absolutely relatable. It makes me happy to find that I'm not the only one with that mindset -- I just never met anyone else similar. Thank you for this majestic piece!~X3
Rofl love the opening commentary to ur painting. I hope the people at hello games get to look at it. Also love how the spacesuit's eye looking back at us :D
Would like to see more of this with the voiceover, you are like a more modern and inappropriate version of Bob Ross (in a good way!). Might you consider streaming this stuff on twitch?
Thanks for that! Definitely taking it as a compliment. I'm definitely going to do more of these so feel free to subscribe and get notified when I do a new one. I've tried streaming on Twitch, but audiences were hard to come by, so I might give Mixer or RUclips streaming a go.
oh I’ve subscribed! One thing about twitch I’ve learned from watching some of the most popular and seeing them grow - the formula for success is something like 10% quality of the content and 90% the consistency/reliability (showing up and being available regularly) of the streamer. Point is, if you are interested, dedicate a good 2-3 months of showing up at the same time day in day out for a few hours, the turn out might surprise you!
Wow. Such a good video! Thank you! I'd love to see more painting videos if you're considering making any. More NMS themed ones would be great! Subscribed! BTW, the painting looks even better than the screenshot.
Thank you for this channel. I didn't know I needed it, but apparently I do. Also, sorry I probably can't afford to buy your wonderful paintings, but I love them nonetheless.
This is fantastic. The video, the commentary, and of course the art! It's always interesting to see other artists' techniques. As an artist myself, I completely relate to everything you mention in creating a piece. Great work. Great shot. A tip (if I may): I noticed at the start of the video the audio sounds good, then at 0:15 it becomes incredibly compressed, to the point of auditory artifacts. It's very apparent near the end of the video. My suggestion is don't compromise the audio too much! It doesn't take up that much space, as apposed to video compression which has a greater influence on determining the size of the file. 44100 kHz with a bitrate of 320 kbps should be perfect for online streaming. Again, fantastic work.
Hey, thanks for the feedback and advice! I'll be making sure the sound is in better shape for the next video. I want the audience to be able to hear my every softly-spoken curse word when I muck something up.
Amazing video - usually I am not in to painting but this is simply extraordinary. Could you pls tell me the name of the first piece of music? I am quite sure it's the soundtrack of a movie but can't remember the name of it. :)
very nice rendition on canvas, I have the same love for the game, -and have done some "ross-like" picture as a kid 25 years ago, -and had the idea to beakout the Airbrush and go SPACE'y-NMS-way.. -and check I SUBscribed your channel, as I want to se more... thanks for sharing the process
This is the best NMS related fan art I've seen. You rock
no u rock
Totally agree!
"A work of art is never finished, only abandoned"
accurate
This was absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing on the subreddit, and I'm mad jealous at your skills as an artist!
Hey thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it - no need to be jelly, I'm sure you've got mad skills yourself.

Your commentary was just... So good. Amazing artwork!

I think there's more of us artists with that mindset than we let on.
@@tworuru And many more that hesitate to reach out and expand on mindset.
Oh my! Instant subscribed. I am glad I clicked your link on the NMS reddit.
Your commentary is philosophically entertaining. Bob Ross 2.0.
Great job interloper! The geks would pay a high price for that work of art.
Acer trejelm, tejarra?
nice man, i thought it was an actual screenshot

Thanks, I kind of hope they get to look at it too. It'd be a shame if Sean Murray refused to let them watch goofy painting vids on RUclips :D

@@tworuru That's all I want for you. 😊
nice work
0/10, no beating the devil out of the brush. Looks great, keep it up.
I keep my devil-beating off-screen so my vids don't get flagged for violence.
Amazing video - usually I am not in to painting but this is simply extraordinary. Could you pls tell me the name of the first piece of music? I am quite sure it's the soundtrack of a movie but can't remember the name of it. :)
Hey, the song at the start is called Debutante by 65 Days of Static. It's a great tune, get amongst it!
@@tworuru Hey there, thanks but I've meant the song starting at 0:50 - sorry for that. Have it now - should be the OST of Fury
