Do you guys like messing around in your sketchbook like this? Sometimes it's fun just to make art to enjoy the process - that's why I love exercises like these!
So in love with this. I had a sit down for the first time after a really long time just procrastinating and actually managed to get some colour onto the paper. Thank you so much for sharing :) Uploaded the final result onto Instagram and tagged you.
Wonderful! I had no idea how much fun I could have just drawing patterns on watercolour blobs. I felt more creative than I have in a long time! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing these warmup ideas! I just got started learning watercolors and keep trying to get to something finished, whereas there is so much value and learning with just playing. Thank you again! Will try these out!
Just found your videos. LOVE, Love, love these exercises. This really helped me get over that hump of learning something new. I could use another one, maybe, please. 😍
This is the first video of your work, and like you, I’m OBSESSED with ceeeceecreations!! I love patterns but like you, don’t know what to create, so I will have to try this as a warm up and hopefully then my brush will flow. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.xx
What a wonderful journal page and examples of circle’s and rectangles. I loved all of what you showed us of your watercolor journal. I hope you will do more abstract watercolor demonstrations for us. Thanks for sharing this with us.
These are great exercises. I can’t wait to try them. I like the limited color pallets and different doodles. Sometimes I get stuck with doodle lines. I do the same ones over and over. Thank you for sharing.
These are also great ideas for days when you need/want to paint but don’t have the energy to do anything really involved. Also, re: the person who commented about “waste,” you never need to justify using your supplies to trolls on the internet.
Oh yes definitely! I don't really use watercolour much now, but these are nice for other materials too. I know, I probably shouldn't reply. That was the first and only mean comment I've ever gotten though, so I'm pretty lucky :)
I’m yet to try these but I love watching creationsceecee - she’s got a ton of such drawing practice videos. I think you did wonderfully at that last one (my fave being the one on the left page), but I get what you mean: there’s a thought process behind putting the colour on paper that’s not quite hard but it’s not as easy as it may seem either 😉
Loved this video. I'm a beginner and now I feel super willing to give your techniques a go. Can I ask about what equipment you used to film your video as well please? Thanks!
I love all of these :O I might give these a go but with inks instead. I keep telling myself I need to use my inks but I never do. This'll be a good way to do that ( and, it looks nice!).
Thank you so much for sharing these inspiring tips, I can’t wait to explore them! By the way Willa watercolour link is not working, is there another link please?

That’s awesome! I don’t really use watercolours anymore but maybe I could think of similar exercises for different mediums 🤔
@@monkeymintaka That would work. Thank You!!

This was exactly what I needed. Love these little pieces.

Yes, she's really great! I haven't done any watercolour this year, so this would be super hard for me right now to do 🙈
Thank you!
Thank you very much for a really good video..it was fun to see your creative warmups. Loved it.❤️🇨🇦❤️
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Great video!
Thanks Terry! I have been following you on Instagram and RUclips for a while now, so it is so great to hear you enjoyed my video 😁
Thanks for following! Lovely to connect!
Loved this video. I'm a beginner and now I feel super willing to give your techniques a go. Can I ask about what equipment you used to film your video as well please? Thanks!
That's great to hear! For filming I just use my camera - Canon G7x Mark ii. And then a manfroto magic arm. It's pretty simple :)
Can you share the color names please? Love the swatching…all I’ve seen so far
I'm sorry, this video is so old now, I wouldn't remember 🙈
Really love this! I will try this afternoon. To hot to go out anyway 🥵
Have fun!
Love it!!

That's a good idea! I think all of these exercises would translate to inks really well 😂

Glad you liked the video! Looks like willa watercolours isn't on instragram any longer if the link is broken :/
😍👏🏻
Good video!! Thanks🌺
I'm glad you liked it! Hope you find some new favourites to watch 😁
Hey, where did you get the khadi paper workbook?
I think it was a gift, but I am sure I’ve seen them on Amazon and also Jackson’s art.
🤗💖😊
I call it wasting your expensive paper.
Oh, khadi paper sketchbooks are very affordable and this one was a Birthday present...so technically free 😁
