also the bridge you crossed is a swing bridge and opens around 2-3 times a week as ships go up the manchester ship canal to the concrete factory in salford quays. i live locally hence my boring knowledge :)

The bagged stone reminded me of my last trip into town for a beer or three, spoke to a guy and his company mixed and bagged dry redeady mix concrete and mortar for B&Q. His plant is just outside Saigon Vietnam. I hope it doesn't get wet on the journey to UK.

Scotty, be careful what you wish for. Ramps are slippery when wet , heavy ,and easy to slide off of. At least with no ramps you get sent to sites with permanent loading ramps.

Unsafe tie done using ratchet strapping maximum safe working load of a total of 4 metric tonnes in total to hold down 2 tractors. Not here in Australia, load restraint for such loads require chains .Major fines for that type of attempt of the load restraining using straps as tie down restraints.

When I carted many Deere products around Australia in the 1990's and 2000's Deere insisted we taped off the exhaust outlets to stop the venturi effect spinning the turbo impellers whilst dry with the engine off. Also your load restraint practices wouldn't pass muster here, crossed , rated, high tensile chains and binders on the axles would be far more appropriate.
@ctiley2212....covering the exhaust stacks is also practiced here by wreckers (they just place a bucket over the top), as well as when loading any kind of HGV's on low-beds or RGN trailers.
As for UK's cargo-securement standard....after binge-watching Scotty's great vlogs of the last 4 years, I've come to the conclusion that their cargo-securement rules would never fly in North America (USA, Canada) either....in fact, any wheeled equipment weighing 4,500 kg (10,001 lbs) or more must be cross-chained at its extremities with G70 Transport Chains/Binders. Any articulated attachments (such as backhoe or bulldozer blade) must also be secured independent of the X-chaining.(only cars or vehicles weighing

I know this is old, but Warrington changes its road system every couple of years, so completely ignore your satnav. When you got to where Unilevers used to be, you went round the roundabout, well my grandparents lived just five minutes from there in Penketh. What a small world🤣. Also, as a child, Warrington was one of the most hateful places on the planet for shopping. All my relatives live in Warrington or lived there. Me, never in a million years will I live there🤑. The metal bridge as you come out of Warrington is a swing bridge, and yes, it still works to this day, as some ships do use it, as its the Manchester Ship Canal, and some ships do still sail to Manchester. Although they are smaller than the large ocean going ones. Although, the ships in its hey day, did have ocean going shipping going up and down it
