    I read "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" in college. It's beautiful that you're keeping her story alive and sharing it from the place where she grew up. 💚

    Thank you so much for this history lesson. She gave so much and received so little in return. I’m glad her family has been able to reclaim her rightful legacy.

    I just learned about her in recent years. We owe so much to marginalized people we’re never taught about, and that’s a shame. Thank you for talking about her & keeping her story alive.☮️

    Great video! I think I remember hearing within the last few years that her descendants finally received a settlement after all these years. Sad it took so long, sad it happened, but I’m glad her descendants were able to get some sort of compensation.

    This video inspires my humanitarian instincts. I would love to gather interested and invested individuals to restore such an important person's legacy. I know the family did not get any real compensation for helping in the research. Her and her family were bamboozled in typical American fashion. It's such a shame. I've known about Henrietta Lacks and the story of how she was unwittingly used for medical reasons. I had no idea how deplorable her legacy is. That needs to be corrected. Her tombstone is fitting. I just need to find out if there's any efforts being made to Perhaps make her home equally appropriate. Thank you so much for Taking the time to inform and educate people on such an accidentally, historically important person.💜🧚🏿‍♀️💜

    Hey there, James. I'm still trying to catch up. Glad you figured out a way to get the heat on. Hope it continues to work for you.
    Ok, I'm am glad you are back to untold history sharing. This brought a tear to my eye and an ach in my heart.
    I searched for Henrietta Lacks and found there is a movie about her life starring Oprah as her daughter. Several platforms are showing it, but I found it on Prime. It's on my wish list. I have surgery at the end of the month, so I will save it while recovering. There is also a book out about Henrietta on Amazon.
    Thank you for sharing, Henrietta Lack with us.
    Safe travels ✌️

    Thank you, thank you, for the excellent, illustrated history lesson on a vital, but too-long ignored heroine of medicine. And I hope you get the right advice on your heater, because having the MAX AC on while you're heating can be a waste of gas.

  • @robertjames2031
    @robertjames2031 Месяц назад

    When you have your vent on Max AC it recirculates the air inside the cabin.
    You can also disconnect the hoses to the heater core and flush the heater core out with a garden hose to pull all the rust out of the aluminum heater core

    • @robertjames2031
      @robertjames2031 Месяц назад

      Also check the valve on the heater hose line feeding the heater core

    • @TheEthnicExplorer
      @TheEthnicExplorer  Месяц назад

      Thank you! I replaced the heater core with a new one along with the heater control valve about 2 months ago. I also replaced the thermostat state about 2 weeks ago I have no idea what’s going on unless it’s one of the vacuum actuators. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    I may have said this before but I want to make a recommendation to get yourself a Chinese diesel heater. Get yourself a Bluetti DC to DC charger 1 and a large powerbank or 2 medium sized powerbanks, in case one fails. Learn how to install the diesel heater, seriously it's a game changer in nomad, vanlife.
    The DC to DC charger 1 will keep your powerbanks energized by fast charging while your engine is running.
    These 3 items are must haves for every nomad, vanlifer.

    Thank you thank you for bringing to our attention the incredible story of Henrietta Lacks. Yes she should've been in our history books. What was taken from her without her consent could've saved her life. Unknowingly she has given a great contribution to medical breakthroughs to this day and for the future. So many people need to hear her story. This biological discovery is life saving and life changing
