FF, Thanks for that, I've visited the Three Counties Show a few times and my daughter married the son of a director of The Sussex Show and they had the reception at the showgrounds. My uncle used to use Shire horses to farm his market garden in N. Wales back in the 1950s, then the little grew Ferguson appeared. The two shires were put on lighter work pulling carts etc. The then spent time in the orchard cleaning up windfalls and were laid to rest there with an apple tree marker.
I’d always choose a Friday or Saturday visit. Sundays you are at risk of stands starting to pack up early. When I used to show Dales ponies at our local big show, The South of England show, our classes were always on a Thursday. It was a great day as it was not so busy but it was the day the Queen visited. I also met and stroked Red Rum there as a child.
The kids and I always love watching your videos. It was a great pleasure meeting Hazza and youself at the sporran stand for a little farm catchup. Keep up the good work and we look forward to more exciting videos.
Glad yous enjoyed it.. Hope Harry got a new Britain's tractor there.. as it was the only tractor my dad would consider buying while at the show 😂😉.. hope you enjoyed the haggis.. and it goes to show what business are around Aberdeen area go the Royal Highland Show.. stay safe 🏴
Thank you for saving me the plane fare and B&B to see that marvelous show. The horse teams are emotional💚love the man purse sporrans. Make mine with a fox please. Crack on from New HampShire 🇺🇲👍👍
Hi Richard I never got to the Highland Show this year and I just lyv 15 minutes up the road but think I saw more watching your videos than if I had been there
Basildon Tractors they come a long way that's in my neck of the woods a few stations down the line, Cranes Farm Road Basildon Essex This has been another epic video Richard so much better than the tv which all one thing at the mo, and the haggis retailer that one I will certainly be looking at Black pudding and mabe haggis.
Another great video lovely to see so much of the show great to get chatting with local businesses too in how they started etc, the horses are amazing I showed shires at the farm I worked at in Cornwall amazing animals so gentle too , harry did great job on your cooking bet all your feet was hurting after all that walking 😊
I first had Haggis when staying at Gleneagles, it was traditionally piped in (and went Clay shooting with Jackie Stewart) Like Sausages some is great, others not so. Best Black Pudding is from Bury. My Friday breakfast with Scrambled Egg 🐱 Thanks for your videos Richard (and crew) We are going to Great Yorkshire Show next week.
Move over Gordon Ramsey. Harry's on the breakfast case. Look at his french toast mastery. You need to pack Maple Syrup next time YUMMM Crack on from New HampShire🇺🇲✌️
Never been to that show but looks the business, next time your away for a weekend go light, a hat, sun block, fresh shirt , toothbrush and paste. No need for clean boxers just turn yesterday's inside out and they will be good as new.
You better put a few more cows on Rich, or feed some more cake.... In a few years Harry will be giving your cheque book a serious workout😂😂. Fair play to him, nice to see him so keen. Good vids of the show👍
Not only is Harry a very good farm manager but he's also a chef!!!! What a brilliant young man🎉

Loved the blacksmiths
Was certainly a good example of how not to use any PPE! 😮
Wouldn't you and the others rather have gone to Glastonbury being it was closer
The man you talked to with the Clydesdale horse used to be on this farming life tv series
Good morning
Eggy bread and bacon is our holiday breakfast. Thanks for an informative video. What must it cost to run a team of six heavy horses?.
Good question!
