The red wire is positive you can also connect it to any power wire the battery any key on wire to the brake wire if you connect it to the battery it will stay on when the bike is off,I did one for a friend and I connected it to the brake wire so when you turn the key (key on) the brake light come on and the indicator get power.

So I plugged in the big white connectors to each other, made the green wire go into the white wire, then made the red wire go into the brown wire. I turned on the ignition and the L flashed, then when I started it, it flashed faster and a blinking 1 was shown. Whenever I was going in 1st ear though, it would not save it or show a 2. It would just keep flashing the 1. Any idea on what to do?
You need to get a straight road with not too much traffic,put it in 1 gear ride it with over 3000rpm,when the one gear is save you will see a N then change to 2 gear after seen the n go up the gears and that should help.

I had the same problem to start with,just reset and try again it should count down from 6 to 1 when you reset and you should see a L then try to get the rave over 3000 and go up the gears

L is not bad it mean learn,so you need to find a fraught road and learn the gears

The red wire is power 12v key on and the green should be connected to the camshaft wire one of the 2 wires coming from the camshaft sensor.

Reset the gear indicator turn the key on and off about 7 times then take it on a straight road and go up the gears.
