Yes! That is SO GREAT that you put the little kids in their car seats on the plane! Especially for Jude. It keeps them so much safer in case of turbulence and, as you said, it helps them feel cozy so they will sleep. We kept our daughter in her seat on planes until she was five!

When you go between countries in Europe with the sea between them, if you know what I mean. Instead of getting planes use ferrys instead, they are easier because you can access stuff easily, you can walk around, and it's fun to be on deck looking out the sea

As an ex-flight attendant, I commend the way you briefed your kids about what to expect along every part of the way. I must admit when I read the description I had flashbacks to a family with 11 kids I once had onboard who were an absolute nightmare!!! My curiosity has been satisfied! I was so eager to see how the flight and first peek of France would look like. It's going to be incredible!
Red eyes are the best flights to take to Europe. You land in the morning, try to stay up all day go to bed and then you are on European time!
That's exactly the way to do it! We do it when we go to Europe.
