- Orkid was sent on some novel behaviors like her revahue (backflip with a twist), belly spin, and variations of zippers, then her trainer cleaned her teeth. The reason why I started filming was because she was sent on her revahue, which hasn't been seen for a long time. She was rewarded for doing the right motion even though it is lower than the final product. It was nice to see it again!

I'm not a very big supporter of captivity, but i still find it interesting how human and animal interact so smoothly. I know it is the result of years of training but the thought of a creature so different from us in every aspect of their very being, which able to read the sign languages of some human so quickly is mind blowing. They truly are crazy intelligent.

I can't believe how much she looks like Corky. She's a pretty big girl too. Anyway it's good to see new behaviors come back. They look amazing! :)

Maybe she just had a bad day? Everyone has a bad day once in a while. Maybe she wasn't feeling well, maybe her pet passed away yesterday, maybe she just got a phone call saying a family member is very ill, etc. Try not to judge people based on a short observation.
I'm surprised Orkid was waiting for the next sign from the trainer. She seems to be the impatient one sometimes. I picture Orkid saying "Oh would you PLEASE give me a signal already!"

Maybe Orkid needed a calm training routine, sometimes when you overstimulate an animal, it´s getting cheeky.
depends on mood, social rank, different trainers and the individual dealings with them or subsequent exercises like the the teeth disinfection

But I don't understand? How do they get them to DO the tricks like rolling over, jumping, vocalising and holding their tails out of water?

What I hate is that The trainers aren't ya know HAPPY I mean if I was a trainer I would be tailking to the whale in a cute voice giving off positive vibes like the Believe days
I miss believe!!! Heart broken they stopped the show. They still do water work with whales in a pool that rises. Just like Keiko chose people over his own kind. These orcas clearly love there trainers, a lot of water work aggression I heard was out of frustration of failing the behavior being taught- those beautiful moves in BELIEVE I want to know how could u ever train a whale that doesn’t speak out langue those moves OMG breathtaking an on que!

This is INSANE to me how can u teach a whale to do back flips? One day do u swim in front of the whale and say this is what I want? Insanely intelligent! I wish the still bred orcas in Seaworld it kills me these will be our last Orcas.

+Cw Schwartz Chlorohexidine, a cleaning solution for the orcas' teeth. It's also used with captive dolphins.

They drill holes in there teeth and can cause major infection. They are flushed 3 times a day.
orkid is looking so cute...shes really perfect ..and she's enjoying it.....on the other hand the trainer seems to have no life and looks so bored ...i thought with whales is never been boring life ....
