Zenna Henderson has appeal for all SF readers. You simply can't go wrong picking a story at random. Her nuanced understanding and experiential knowledge of child psychology is rare. When other authors aren't writing child characters very well, I wonder "How would Zenna have treated this?"
Just happen to be reading Joe Haldeman’s ‘The Accidental Time Machine’ right now. Can’t mention Haldeman without bringing up his classic ‘The Forever War’. Definitely in my top ten. Thanks for the mention regarding Zenna Henderson. A unique voice in SF. I do believe you have the complete Henderson!
Going by his Edmund Hamilton's "best of" short story collection, & the numerous stories I encountered by him in various anthologies, he tended to write mostly action style SF. He was very good at it as well - IMO. Joe Haldeman's "Worlds" is one of my favorite SF novels, & I've read one short story collection by him which was good as well. I have "The Forever War" & "Mindbridge" on my TBR list - both books look really intriguing.
@@JoeChewBaca Must qualify that as the kinder, gentler Stephen King of SF. Think ‘Firestarter’ in a 1950s small town that had elements of ‘Little House on the Prairie’.
@@LiminalSpaces03 I have "The Anything Box" on the way!!! Along with Lifeforce/Space Vampires. Chris, have you ever investigated "The Lunar Trilogy" by Jerzy Zulawski? All's I know is that the movie is a damn trip.

That's where I know his name from! I remember seeing it on the last page of books that had other books for sale.
I'm looking forward to your take on Haldeman! I loved your Zenna Henderson videos so much I had to mention them!

I have to get a copy of the Forever War!
Will definitely check out Zena H's work, thanks for spotlighting her.
I suggest you start with The Anything Box!
Henderson... the Stephen King of SF? Interesting, must investigate

Adding to what Richard said, I'd recommend starting with "The Anything Box"
@@LiminalSpaces03 That collection did sound interesting. Great covers as well.

I haven't! I'll add it to the list!
