Forty years ago, prior to his breakout success, from Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure Manga artist Hirohiko Araki created a hybrid superhero sci fi Manga titled Baoh to which the character had his own 40-minute animated adaptation in 1989. In honor of Baoh’s 40th and 35th anniversary respectively, here is a review of the underrated OVA, and how it was among the first in splatterpunk anime that's worth a visit!
