School boards were taken over by activists because parents weren't paying attention. It's understandable; parents work hard at being parents and their everyday jobs and aren't eager to take on more responsibilities. Respect for Mr. Rivera for taking on this challenge. Common sense says a focus on academics should be the priority. Perhaps Mr. Rivera and others like him can return some of that common sense to the school board.

I recently watched a video where college students were asked how would they like diversity for their school’s football team. It was a resounding NO because they want to win.
@@marigold3687 back in highschool, me and my buddy started for the varsity football squad in the tenth grade and played beside each other on both sides of the line. On offense, it was pretty "diverse", seeing as it was about half white and half black. On defense, we didn't have much "diversity", seeing as how I was the only white boy from my team on the field. I guess I should have screamed for "DIVERSITY" but I didn't even think about it, cause we were whooping butt. 😂

In LC, only the person signed up to speak at the school are allowed inside when it is there turn to speak. Everyone else has to wait outside. This is a “new” rule because of COVID. It is a sham.

I wish this man the best of luck. I speak to many people that have grown up in other countries, many third world countries, that are stunned at how far our kids are behind their kids when they enroll them here. Tells me it's not all about money spent, but what and how we spend it on.
It's also culture. Other countries kids are better behaved than our kids. They wouldn't dare bring home a bad report card and our kids do bring home bad grades cuz their not afraid to.

There should be serious in depth federal background checks on the teachers they hire to teach children. I did do something along with many other parents this year. It should be everyone's rights to attend school board meetings. It makes you wonder what else the school boards are hiding.
Michael is quite intelligent (For me a good sign: He used the word 'infer' correctly; many do not) and thoughtful. This is the type of individual qualified to work on behalf of children and parents.
DEM state of California is 44th out of 50 in K-12 math scores, and now proposing "New Math" framework to lower standards in order to increase rank.
