Your studio, love❤. Your studio, our classroom. We sure are grateful that you have found peace and grace as you teach us while enjoying your craft. This is how it should be for everyone. Fellowship. Strength. Artistic development. Thank you!❤❤❤
I’m now a You Tube student of yours. Soaking it all up, taking it all in. You’re so talented and share the best detailed techniques in your presentations! Many thanks.❤
Thank you Donna for sharing your art with us. I could listen to you all day, you are so warm. I just wish that I had a fraction of your talent. The last items I made turned out like chewed toffees! I envy how neat your canes are. I really do try, but mine always come out lumpy. Still, I will keep watching you and try, try, try again..........
Love this tut as well, and it is perfect, I have a few weeks before to catch up on, because of AC being out, and the pharmacy not having my meds in stock that keeps me from sleeping all day. 😴😴So I felt like July was a waste for me, except for watching movies. I watched 'Ode to Billy Joe', 1976, based on the song with same title by, Bobbie Gentry in 1967. I remember watching as I was younger, but I happened to run across her song on RUclips as I was researching the history of small towns. What I really love the most is Bobbie Gentry who is the singer, song writer and is absolutely brilliant . She is worth $100 million today. A female in the 60's did that. So inspiring. So what does this have to do with polymer clay? lol. probably nothing, but As a female it is rare to find true legends that are inspiring and talented, you Donna rank at the top of the list for me. Much love to you and Thank you.
TamTam, I love your Bobby Gentry/Ode to Billy Joe story. Makes me want to watch it myself! I hope you get your meds because sleeping issues are the very worst. I have trouble sleeping - when it's really bad, I do cbd gunnies. Gummies. Love you, Tam, you're the best, kid. Hugs, D
I just love your tips. Refine refine refine and the end results look amazing. My work is improving generally by applying your tips. Thank you! And the earrings are novel and timeless.
betsy, you're right! i hope you give that a try, kid. now, may i ask a favor of you - people always ask, i tend to be more low key but on this fine sunday, i'm asking! please subscribe to my channel! that wasn't so hard, right? it's free and it helps the channel and me (not sure ho but it must). thank you in advance! hugs, d
Another great tutorial. Thanks Donna! They are so fun, but the black and white makes them classic and the gold makes them elegant. I am seeing them as beads and an entire necklace made from them. I haven't made the beaded curtain cane yet, but I will have to soon. I also need some of that gold paint! It is fabulous.
It’s weird how when you are being creative and happy at your work table you just don’t want to go anywhere else especially if you have to dress up and wear earrings 💛
I love your videos as you take the time to really explain what you are doing and make it look like anyone can do it. On another video, you used textured sponges to create texture for your bullseyes. I am trying to find them but they are way too thick. Can you share where you get them from?
I love these. They will be perfect size for my mom too... If I remember correctly, we need an extruder to make that cane? Right?... One more thing I need to order! 😁😂
@@DonnaKatoArt Ohh. Ok!.. I'll try it that way first... I told mom about your classroom and amazing tutorials. She said "Yes! I remember Donna Kato. Her work is amazing." ... She is an artist (I told you that before) and loves your designs as much as I do.... Today I made a new signature cane. Tomorrow, I will try the beaded curtain. Thanks Donna... 2 doinks! 😂
I have not done one and I can’t recommend a YT fir that. I will say as long as you use very strong clay (Kato, Cernit) you can roll the clay extremely thin, cure it well and it will not break. Good luck!
How long are the earrings? Its hard to judge on video. I think things always look bigger on video.... Sorry if this has already been asked. I just don't want to make big ol' honkers for earrings if they're supposed to be small. 😂😂😂😂😅

Love you, Darlene! You make my day brighter and you make me smile, kid. Big hugs! D I'm on my cmputer so I have no emojis....smily face, heart to you!

I love seeing canes used in all types of projects, especially jewelry ❤. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, Cheryl! I think I have to do more tutes geared to using what you're making, right? I will try, kid. Cheers, D
I really like these earrings, they're so different from any others I have seen. Thank you Donna
You're welcome, Clare! I hope you make some. I think they'd look great long and thin, too. Hugs, D
The earrings and the cane look fabulous D, thank you so very much for showing us this technique and reducing the cane which looked so much better 💜🤗💜💜
Right, Tracey? Yes, it definitely looked better! Scale, we always have to think about scale, kid. Hugs, D
Hi, Donna! I am envisioning this as a pendant or a ring! I is very fun and elegant for an evening out! As you say “I like it!” too!
Yes, Lane! I think so, too. Beads were suggested and that kicked my brain into gear! It's all fun, right? Big hugs, D
Wonderful tute! So relaxing to watch while I learn-needed this today, Thanks Donna! 💜💜
Hello, my sweet Robs! Biggest hugs, D
So love watching you create! 🙏💕

You'll get there, Louise. Believe me, I've made a lot of canes that looked worse than chewed toffees! Don't give up, it'll happen, kid. Cheers, D

Wonderful, Maya! I live for comments like yours, my friend. Hugs, D
the larger pattern of beaded curtain would make a great bracelet!

Ooh, Sheryl, I like the bead idea. That'd be a great necklace! Hugs, D
Thanks for another great tutorial. Great techniques for me to reference as I play with Kato clay.
You are so welcome. Cynthia!
Beautiful work. Great paint tips
So amazing!!! I can’t wait to start creating again! I think this will be my first project.
Kathleen, I am so glad! Yes, this will be a good one, kid and very versatile. It's a great place to launch from! Hugs, D
I love them! I am a texture person, whether it is real texture or illusional texture.
I am so pleased, Cindy! I like them a lot, too. I don't wear everything I make, these, I wear! Hugs, D
I learned a few new tricks in this video. Thank you so much. As always...you are the G.O.A.T. of polymer clay. ❤
So glad, Jodi!
These earrings are gorgeous! Thank you.❤
make lots, Jo!
Loved this tutorial!
Thank you, Andrea!😊❤️🎉
I love these Donna!
So glad, Elizabeth! Hugs, D

Wow! These look so elegant! Thanks Donna x
tanks, Vee!
I love these! You are so much fun to watch. Thanks for sharing. 💖
my pleasure!
💜 just amazing 💜
Thank you, Tracy. I think you'll do a lot with them, this is just the start, kid. Cheers, D
Never ever are you boring us 🎀

Thank you! Now, those sponges are actually Dualplex Refrigerator Liners. You can get them on Amazon and you get a lot of it! Good luck!
I love these. They will be perfect size for my mom too... If I remember correctly, we need an extruder to make that cane? Right?... One more thing I need to order! 😁😂
Tanya, you can roll by hand, too, kid. An extruder makes it faster but it can be done by hand. Big hugs, D And, hi to Mom!

Is there a tutorial available for making a clay bookmark?

Hi Tanya! They’;re about 1 - 1 1/4” long.Not very big, kid. Doinkkkk! Hugs, D
@@DonnaKatoArt Oh! Ok... That's a perfect size. Thank you for clarifying... Doink! 😆💖😆
Nice tutorial but would have liked the TV off?
was it on? omg
