This is honestly one of the more useful mod videos I've seen in ages. I feel like small mods that just make the game better need more videos made about them. Great video as always ✌️
@@Lyserion.Nah bro is his own dude, MxR is the RayWilliamJohnson of Fallout/Skyrim Modding. To say he could be the next MxR is like replacing Ray from =3 to someone like Vsauce, 2 completely different energies
@Da Pinnacle Disagree. Mern and MxR actually make similar content which is why the comparison is apt. Sure their humor is different, but they occupy similar niches and probably have overlapping audiences. If anything, and using your Ray William comparison, I'd say this is more like when Penguinz0 essentially replaced the similar niche that Ray occupied.
to give few mods introduction is much much easier compare to modlist making 😂 you have to find bug and test a lot ,it’s a really tedious process for most of us.
@@ill0edI bought Skyrim SE last year thinking that I'll get every mod I needed with no issues. 2 weeks after modding Skyrim I just gave up. It really is a pain modding.
This guide was extremely helpful and to the point. You didn't waste an unnecessary amount of time on each mod, kept it quick and concise, and didn't fill the video with useless information. Keep up the great work with videos like this!
I would also recommend Skyrim Cheat Engine, which would allow to add any item from vanilla or modded content to your inventory, very handy for testing weapon mods or whatnot
Hm... alternatively you can use the console command: help "name of item" and get the item id in that list. Then console command: player.additem "item id" "amount" (without the " )
@@inconspicuousboar3177 Yep, it's always a personal decision above all. :) I just find it useful as I usually try to keep my plugin count as "low" as possible and usually don't spawn items frequently. Anyway, it's always nice to have options, so I thought I mentioned it as an alternative to another plugin in the load order. 😅 Of course for testing - as you have mentioned before - this makes totally sense!
Haven't played Skyrim in years. It's amazing how the modding community kept this game alive. Nice work on the video btw, the expressions and animations you used on your characters to illustrate your points were very funny 😆
QoL mods are the most important thing for a new Skyrim player. I wanted to enjoy the game and really couldn't get into it until I found the right combination of mods that decreased my frustration enough to enjoy the story. Wonderful set of mods.
Yeah, I just started playing and there are SO MANY annoying things in the game. They let you change key bindings but what they don't tell you is that it pretty much breaks half of the menu buttons. I have to go into my menu EVERY TIME I want to change my weapon. No other Bethesda title has this problem. Also, dropping weapons is so easy to do without realizing it, especially since the button to drop doesn't match what the screen says. At least that one works though. Then there's a bug where NPCs can see you stealing when you're inside a room with a closed door. SOOO annoying to have to squat down and watch the detection meter blink on and off randomly when I'm literally all alone.
After you showed I4 and Constructible Object Custom Keyword System i had really hoped Beautifully Overhauled and Objectively Better Icons Enriched for SkyUI would have made it on there as well =(
Mern, you are quickly becoming one of my favorite modding channels! I like to think I’m relatively on top of new modding developments but your videos ALWAYS have things that I’ve missed. Keep up the hard work! (And please don’t go down the MxR path, you’re too good for that cringe 😬)
I already forgot that I'm even using Compass Navigation Overhaul. Such a useful mod! Wouldn't want to play without it anymore. And "I'm Walking Here" is a lifesaver, lol.
I've said it once and I will say it again: Mem makes the best in video ads, EVER! Plus every one of these suggested mods are 100% useful to most players. Excellent work mate. o7
Fantastic! I was just ready to fire up my game with a fresh batch of mods, until I came across one that was mentioned here. I watched the video and now I have a collection of new mods to study. Maybe I'll be ready to actually play the game this year lol
the end of the video makes it seem like this video was recorded over a used vhs tape lol... planning to make the jump from oldrim to se so this was a helpful video. +1 like
Thanks for presenting some mods that I really need. Often popular mods on Nexus aren't what I need but the mods you're showcasing here are hitting the sweet spot
You sir are doing a service, I didn't know most of these mods existed as the front page of the Nexus can get cramped with mods so thank you! I've added most of the mods in your video to my long list of mods xD
Aight, you've earned your self a sub from me. I have a 2-3 watched video rule and esp if I learn something. As a controller user my self, I am usually reluctant to add mods that add "hotkeys" as well, a controller doesnt have many buttons but, If YOU use one and can still make use of Elden Equip then, im going to give it a shot too!
Im suprised Mern didnt mention "unlimited fast travel" it pretty much lets you fast travel from anywhere, even indoors, in combat and in other world spaces. It saves alot of time especially if loading screens take too long
@St. James Hawke it depends on the player at that point. you can use it when you are at an exit just to save a few loading screens, but you can also use it as soon as you finish a dungeon so its really just up to the player to use. i dont think its cheating though
I can’t get over how incredible your game looks. I’m using a bunch of graphics enhancers too (Skyland, Nature of the Wilds, Flora Overhaul, Lux, ENB, etc.) but it doesn’t look as crisp as yours.
Not using all of these mods because some of them I just don't care about or I'm concerned about the amount of space left on the drive, but some of these are definitely of use to me.
Thanks for the video, very well done, I'm glad I found you recently, after years I finally jumped back into Skyrim, last time I kinda scrapped the game with mods I didn't carefully installed, now managed to do it right, and your videos ensures me I'll have plenty of others to install.
True Directional movement i think needs to be a staple especially if you play casters and even more so if you install Undeath to become a lich just for the lock on feature Makes life a billion times more easier and fluid
Great mods.. what is problematic is the secondary and tertiary mods that y need to install.. especially frameworks etc., but that is the modding for you :)
It's nice that most of these are I'm nolvus I'm so happy to have stumbled onto it (still don't know I'd it's worth it to buy that dlss that people are paying for)
I downloaded the collection mod for the first time. It read K18, and I didn't look at its contents anyway. I thought it was some brutal content, how good a faithful person can be?. In Whiterun, I would swing a sword for fun until a female guard appeared. i thought i was going to die but i was very wrong. The Jarl, on the other hand, was enjoying himself wholeheartedly as the flame of love flickered front of him.
Your browser is holding you back. Level up with Opera GX: operagx.gg/Mern
and give up Netscape Navigator? no way!
guys dont trust him, this comment is sponsored
May i have the armor link?😳
Edit: Found it (Dremora Markynaz Armor) :)
That browser is as sh#t as Goggles Chrome, because it's just Chrome in a new look.
Saves me a lot of time and effort
„i‘m walking here“ is also great because it removes follower collision, meaning lydia can‘t block doorways anymore
Really???

He always finds stuff that just works! Love this channel
Even if my load order is broken, love watching merns videos
Bro same 😂
just LOOT and Wrye Bash baby, let god do the rest!
What happened let me help
I used to have the same profile lol. Nice
always read the mod description before download dude, and do some research and tinkering xd
Mern definitely installed some Irl quality content mods. Because his videos are getting insanely better each upload!
For real, he deserves more subs.

Now that's a true video about useful mods and not another boring video about mods that have been presented 60000 times on others channels 👍
your ad segments are the best, might be the only one on RUclips I never skip. hilarious stuff, and obviously great video! peace.
I have to say, I love your topic change for Con Obj Cust Key Syst.
i love to be able to download your whole modlist all looks unreal
That armor looks incredible
Would love a weapons mod showcase, you use so many cool and unique weapons. Though I have noticed some of them seem to be from other games.
Those ads of yours Mern. They are something else. Never bored or anoyed by them.

How many more mods will I have to install?!! Every Merns video gives me a reason to install another mod.
this is a treasure trove, the MCM Recorder alone is a godsend. 10/10 would buy skyrim again.
You can also insalled Immersive Icons (B.O.O.B.I.E.S) on top of Inventory Interface Information Injector for even more icon types.
8:30 dude what mod adds kill animations like that?! absolutely clean smack
Thanks for these videos Mern, haven’t enjoyed this much Skyrim and modding since MXR days
As a really new modder, this video is basically " yo dude, heard you have some issues with your mod, heres a mod to fix that "
There is a patch that allows swiftly order squads to be used on summons ideal for conjuration mages and necromancers
8:20 omg I’ve been saying it veeo-lens
