  • This video showed how I took my first narrowband image of the Carina Nebula from my balcony.
I started doing deep-sky astrophotography on my balcony because there's a recent lockdown in Sydney due to the covid-19 pandemic. I was forced to use narrowband filters because of the heavy light pollution in this area(Bortle 7-8). I was very surprised by the result!

Lovely work! Are you in an apartment building? Did you have any trouble with stability or vibrations? (I have a similar setup and would love to be able to image from my balcony but it's cloudy for the next month or so before I can try anything)

Hi Sam, thanks for the compliment. I didn't have any problem with stability or vibration. You could buy some Vibration Suppression Pads if that worries you.
