It seems a common theme throughout the Old Testament where some kings started out good, maybe even very good, but failed to finish the course in a way pleasing to God. This trend started early with Solomon and occurred several times. King Hezekiah is another one that comes to mind. We want to be like Paul who was able to say as he faced imminent death "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:" 2Ti 4:7

Yes, when it comes to serving God with the right attitude and heart, and staying pure, following the example of the Apostle Paul in the New Testament is much better than almost all if not all of the kings in the Old Testament. Thanks Bob.
