  • MEC516/BME516 Fluid Mechanics: Flow visualization of laminar to turbulent flow transition in a round pipe using the famous Reynolds' Apparatus. The flow is visualized using dye injection on the center line, which shows the effect of the Reynolds number. Laminar flow starts to transition to turbulent flow at about Re=2200.
