Mic on Kyle segment was way deeper than it may look: you see the CEO and the player constantly together. Checking the fence, thinking about the editing and giving himself the perfect 'cut' breaking the 4th wall by speaking with the audience: this guy is never just a player. It adds a sense of inspiration to MLW which is already a remarkable achievement. Thanks.
Aigner is retiring. His age, the team’s struggles, the fact that it’s hard for him to make games. All this stuff points towards an inevitable retirement. It really sucks though. He was with the Preds for so long but leaves to form an expansion team that has had mediocre success at best. What hurst even more is that his first year gone from the Preds is the year they finally win it all. If this is the last time we see Aigner playing, it might be one of the more sad careers of an MLW player. While he is a cheerful guy, he never had his moment to shine in the big stage and seemed to just miss his chance.
Honestly, I think it’s time for aigner to step down as manager. He isn’t here for most of the season, and when he is, he can’t hit. On top of that he made the disaster trade for bonham. It’s been a good run, but I think it’s time for him to let someone more invested take over.
Looks like it’s closer than I thought-four or five no-no’s against each team plus three one-hitters each. (Oddly, the 2019 Gators started the season with a series where they scored eight total runs in the series 𝘞𝘐𝘛𝘏𝘖𝘜𝘛 the benefit of a hit…)
I know he has other things going on, but I was kind of surprised to see Jack just going through the motions, as he was one of the guys I liked watching most in prior years. Not much else to say, that was an old-fashioned beat down in all aspects.
Congratulations Metro Magic! Your contention window is officially OVER. Without a draft pick to get much needed improvement and replacements, you guys are going to tank and tank HARD next year with NO compensation for it. This is why you dont trade your future away for short-term gains.
Feels like I’m watching pre-extra elite MLW when watching the Magic lol poor guys. If Agner gonna continue next year he has a lot to figure out as a manager and his playing career. Good luck to them tho!
Lol this was such a definitive ass beating that Kyle and the boys were more concerned with where they were going out to dinner after the game than the game itself
I had so much fun at the Midwest Slugfest; even though my team lost on Sunday, I got to meet all the MLW players that were there and it was amazing. I’ve been watching this league for 5-6 years and I go back and watch previous seasons and I just want to say thank you to Kyle Schultz ,Tommy Coughlin , and Mark Schultz for making the league I love to watch possible abd making it possible for fans just like me to meet you guys and play against you guys. Thank you and I can’t wait till next year. Also I want to say thank you to all the players for making the league and tournaments awesome. I love the vids
The Magic have found the worst case Scenario; Unlike the Gators and D-Backs, they haven’t won a championship recently, and also unlike them, they traded away their draft pick away for a player (pretty sure they gave up two firsts for Trevor Bonham if I’m not mistaken), it’s a dark road ahead
They're just a mess. Literally none of them have improved from last season. In a league that's getting better every year, YOU HAVE TO GET BETTER ALSO or you'll be left behind. Combine that with weird moves from Aigner, like starting Swanson for his first start of the year in a must-win game? Continuing to force 4-man lineups when the team is struggling to hit? Always juggling the defensive alignments? It's bad right now.

Without Chadwick playing like an all-star, the magic are very one dimensional. The one dimension is pitching, and it also sucks. Aigner hasn't been the same and the Bonham trade got me excited. But, we need a retool. Maybe trade Bonham to a contender for a draft pick?
Easy to look like an ace when you’re facing the magic. Also no offense to Jaxen but he isn’t even close to Bonham in terms of pitching. Bonham is a legitimate ace, he’s just had a cold bat this year
I agree with both of you. He did look real good, especially once he got tuned in. I also agree that my cat could go out and pitch good against the Magic. They have like 10 hits all year.

I think the Magic just need players who are good, regardless of pitching or hitting. They are brutal on both sides of the ball. Chadwick (4.93 ERA) should be an emergency pitcher at best, and Bonham (2.45 ERA) is a respectable, mid-tier SP2. Not good. They have the highest ERA in the league (although it is close). But offensively, they are far worse. There is no power in the lineup (Chadwick has both of the Magic's 2 total home runs this season. Every other team has at least 5), they strike out more than anyone, reach base the least of anyone and, worst of all, their .187 slugging percentage is the worst in the league by a whopping 137 points behind the 3-9 Gators. That is shockingly bad. Their pitching is not good, but is passible. Especially considering (get ready for this shocker of a stat), the Metro Magic *_lead the league in pitching strikeouts_*. Yes you heard me correctly. Now, a few of the teams that have only played 9 games so far might catch them, but that's still a shocking stat. That implies to me that their defense is abysmal (eye test certainly seems to uphold that theory). Long story short, the Magic need power bats in their lineup and someone who can play good defense. That's priority number 1. Priority #2 is to find an ace. Bonham is fine in short bursts or as a number 2, but is not an ace.
@@sawmill035 I count Bonham as an ace. I used to pitch, and I can tell you it's hard to pitch in a deficit. Bonham went from the Mallards to the Magic. He doesn't even know what it's like to pitch with a lead. Give Bonham 2 runs in the 1st and watch what happens.
@@rsn2012 Maybe he is an ace, its debatable. I don't buy the run support argument though. There are plenty of pitchers in the MLB who pitch just fine with no run support. Most notably DeGrom had the lowest run support in baseball over a 3 year stretch, or something like that, and still won a Cy Young. I'd have to see some sort of correlation to ERA and run support, but I don't think there is one.
I think it’s time for the magic to shake it up, same with the gators, Chadwick, cheetam I think these guys could really add something to a team looking for a championship
