I am starting to think that Mustaine himself should make use of these tools as they mature, at least in the studio. Is it cheating? Yes, but it sounds just like he's not able to anymore sadly.

I think it'd be okay! Dave paid his dues, and this wouldn't be possible if his Youthanasia performances weren't so epic. One of the things that surprised me most when doing these covers is that not all of them work - the singer underneath matters so much. Their performance translates so much to the final product, so in theory Dave could still sing the songs and the AI would just give it that extra boost. Another option could be a session musician doing their best Dave impression. That'd be less authentic, though.

@@twistedtakesmusic that's exactly what I meant. It would sound like him because it would still be him singing, and the AI would be there to give him back the edge he lost, but it would still be his performance, and no one else would sound as close to his former self as himself.

amazing cover. Like someone suggested here, it would be cool if they used ai like this to do the vocals in studio. Dave is old and went through a throat cancer, so he could use some rest and focus solely on his guitar skills when playing live
