I loved watching Feyi-waboso earlier this year. I couldn't believe he had barely any caps for the way he was playing. Real class act but Sititi coming in after only being in the development squad for the Chiefs is nothing short of a meteoric rise.
Has to be Wallace Sititi. He'll probably end up having the same amount of all black caps as super rugby caps, and he's already contending to be one of the best loosies in the world.
Maybe Sacha if he wasn't injured, and could play the remaining tests of the year. But I think Wallace Sititi will get it, he has been huge for the AB's, also special shout to Ruan Nortje, he's been great for the Boks.
Not only is he worth a mention he is way ahead of most of the names on this list, playing for the no.1 team in the world and dominating the world champions away from home in a position he doesn't even play. Tim is getting not only hilariously pro-Saffa, but a bit anti-Irish.
Saiti has to be without any doubt. If you look at where he was a year ago and too now thats a proper breakthrough. The other players have been on the scene a bit now and touted as top players already.

@@EatDezeyeah but you have kickers all over your backline which allows you to play manie We don't. He's a risk to play and I personally don't think he's good enough
@@Forest9528 No they don't, they have Jordie Barrett, who missed the kick that would have taken the RWC title away from us. There is a reason that the AB's took so long to dethrone Beauden Barrett at 10 - his general play outshone his kicking issues. But unlike us, they took a very long time before realising that they needed to shore that part up. We have always known that kicking is important, "ticking the scoreboard over" whereas there was a certain arrogance to Hansen when he said during the BI Lions series that there was nothing to address. There is also a reason that Stephen Donald, who kicked the famous points that won them the 2011 RWC final, was not often selected at flyhalf; his kicking skills did not outshine his general play issues, where (especially by NZ standards) he was fairly meh. That's the point Handre Pollard is at now, the same point Morne Steyn was at when Handre took over. We can beat Ireland when he kicks 4 from 7 and still lose when he kicks 8 from 8, mainly due to the lack of backline attack once Willie went off injured. Manie is not only good enough, but substantially better than Pollard in every aspect other than goal kicking.
@Karma-qt4ji manie Is a great attacker but he's not so good that it's justified to rejig entire backlines just to accommodate him. When both are fit we really won't miss Willie that much. Especially when Willemse is back properly
Great young players for sure. I think Jamie Osbourne deserved a mention, as was arguably one of the players of the SA series. Even Shalk Burger had named him as such. Ah well. Some talent to enjoy in the coming years.
Sacha has changed how we play Rugby in SA. To see how is so good, the 2x Champions have made the game around him. He can be effective in all phases of the game. What a player!!.
Good day Eggchaser. I was wondering why you did not have Cheslin in your group. Love the way you pushed for OX. I went to look at his highlights and agreed with you it would be nice to see a prop in the mix. I am learning more about other players through you channel. You have got me watching other games and will definitely be watching Eng vs Nzl. To me South versus North. Thanks
I'm pretty sure that Mark Tele'a won this award when he was 26, so Henri-Colombe should be eligible. I think Sacha and Sititi will end up having the best careers from this class, but I don't think Sacha's has had a large enough sample size to beat off Sititi this year. Ratima and IFW are really good contenders who will both see quality game time over the next few games.
He deserves a mention along with big Joe Mc. Osbourne had a big year at Leinster too, but in fairness he only played two games for Ireland and no guarantee of him being a starter at the moment
@ agreed, Joe McCarthy is a big contender, I don’t know how I missed him either, especially in the 6N!! Osbourne deserves a mention for his switch to FB being accelerated into the starting 15 against the world champions in South Africa. He won’t be nominated unfortunately due to him not being a guaranteed starter and not having enough games this season, however, is he was playing for Ireland in the same form he was in for Leinster in the 6N and had a couple games this autumn nations cup, he would be in with a very high chance of winning it I would say.
