It's so great to see more year on year! thanks Peter
Cracking bass and recipe jo well done 👏🏻
Great to see that many Bass - would love to try out spearfishing sometime. Looks amazing!
You should!
You're amazing Joe and I love your videos...I didn't know there was a way to remove the scales from sea bass 😀.....super cool
Nor did I till chef Mike taught me! So happy you love the videos robert!
Giving that recipe a go. Better, sweet potatoes, olives, asparagus and fish sounds like a love potion. Wife will love it!!
SO simple but delicious!
Top video Joe nice bass and cook up.
Many thanks Nigel!
Thanks JPK! Love to see a fellow diver is similar conditions to mine 9/10 dives. 3-5m vis on a good day! Low vis or not, I'm just happy to get wet and explore the ocean that I love so much. Heading out for a dive in Rockport, MA USA tomorrow (11/15). Should be good conditions and with the recent rain/onshore winds I'm hoping for decent vis. Stay safe and dive deep!
Completely get where your coming from. Just love being out there 👍👍
the amount of bass is unbelievable Joe, some nice footage again! I have been using this scaling method on bigger bass, guilthead bream since I bought Josh Niland's book (the whole fish). This is one of the best methods if you want really nice and crispy skin on the filet either in the pan or on bbq.
Thanks! Yes indeed best if frying, I changed plan to bake in the oven, maybe next time!
Nice
Some great fish there! Keep the catch and cooks coming Joe!
Thanks, I hope to!
Another fantastic video Joe, really enjoyed watching it. i shall be trying that de-scaling method on my next bass cook up. Great to see good number of bass in uk waters, shame that you only allow to keep 2 bass per day. Look forward to next video 👍
Many thanks mate, that method is particularly good for frying the fish!
Top Japanese sushi places will do the skin scaling for the exact same reason, it maintains the proper quality of the fish. Absolutely wicked seeing all those fish swimming underwater!
hi joe, recently started spear fishing and found your videos to be very educational and interesting. I live about half a mile from lantic bay and have seen a lot of people spear fishing here and the bay just east. I’ve only been diving for a couple of months now but totally hooked. Just wondering how you go about finding spots to fish and which time of year you look for different things. Is it just a case of roaming? Often when I go down it feels empty or very small fish but not sure if that’s just the time of year. I have just been shore diving not too far from the shore and max around 10m deep
Sounds like a good excuse to have the wreck to themselves, worked out in your favour though with the much better viz 😅 Awesome video dude 😎
Cheers Tony, It's good to know things like oil spills are closely monitored but it didn't look like much oil was about that day...
Nice😊👍
Cheers Versatec great to hear from you
@@JoePkSpearfishing Thanks Joe...😊
❤️mantap joe
that looks very tasty🤟🙏
It certainly was!
Well done jo. Double fish on one spear I challenge u 😁 oh and the cod 👍👍👍
The double shot, that's interesting, but it might just happen in my next video. As for the cod, still yet to see one!
💪
Fantastic my friend
Thanks Wassim😀
Hi Joe, do you offer spear fishing as an experience that others can book on to?
Nice video, Joe!
And nice tip for the scale the fish, I will try for sure ;)
Have you ever tried in a fish with not so "big", tick and hard scales?
Nice job!
Thanks Mr Bruges! It worked well on Amberjack. I haven't tried with any other fish yet...
Great Video Joe what a large amount of Bass 🙂 I dive myself and there is fewer places more peaceful the diving with nature in the sea :-) and have posted a video i filmed in Exmouth UK would love to dive down and see more but I cant free dive past about 20 foot , do you have and advise for how to hold breath longer and how not to damage ears ?
For me it was a very gradual process getting my ears accustomed to the depth. I was a very shallow diver to begin with. I would suggest a freediving course would be great to learn proper eq
Loving Carl's hat. Any lemons down there?
He is always well prepared!
Great video ! Was that out at the Eddystone Reef ?
Joe have you ever thought about traveling to Guernsey in summer to spearfish?
Hi Joe PK why don't you try cleaning the fish on a rock in the sea? It is cleaner and easier than doing it at home.
Greetings from Spain.
Usually do but I didn't have time as I had to get back to work!
how i wish i could of gone i love spear fishing i would teach you a better recipe though
hey great video, i was wondering if you've ever considered writing a cookbook
haha I hadn't considered that but maybe one day! Catch and cookbook!
Outstanding, as always. Pardon my ignorance but what is the difference between pollack guts and bass?
Thanks Phil. I'm not sure why but Pollock guts spoil the meat very quickly...
What the name of the place where you dive?
Hi Joe, Just a quick question. Do you use prescription lenses for your mask? I have a spearfishing mask where the lenses are interchangeable. As I where glasses. I am pretty good with my shot but would it be more beneficial if I had proper lenses made?
I actually wear contact lenses with my mask. Never tried prescription lenses.
I just purchased my first mask with corrective lenses. They have made a things a lot clearer UW. Tried a few options. TUSA make the biggest range of masks that come with the correct lenses and seem the most cost effective.
Epic where is this?
Fantastic school of seabass !
How cold was the water ?
The water was about 13C
Great 🎏 show Joe very relaxing
Ah thanks Sir!
Happy new year may it be a prosperous one too
Wonder how long until the French fish them all out
great dive mate .. and even greater fish 🙌 for me whole in salt is still the best taste of fish simple and delish. but your bass made me hungry allso 😁👍
Gonna have to try that!
@@JoePkSpearfishing hope you know what i'm talking about 🤣 lots of salt mix with watter or with eggs . you need to make it like snow sticky. and cover all fish with scales or without put sone lemon buuter garlic some grass if you like inside the belly and it's unreal. the meat is realy juicy and tasty 👍 cook it in oven for like 30-40min till salt will start to change color to brown in sone parts and it's done. crack the salt open it and enjoy delish fish.
more wrecks please.
Donkey Bass!!
Still rough your side I see!
@@JoePkSpearfishing bad spell of weather this Autumn🙃
