Skylanders has come pretty far, sadly we’ve never got a 7th game, but the memories we’ve made and the fun we’ve had is the real important thing. Happy 10th anniversary SSA… god bless you ♥️
I've been recently re-playing Trap Team again after a 7 year hiatus and the amount of sheer nostalgia I get when I play that game is enough to make me pass out. God, I love this franchise and it's community
In my opinion there was no “bad” Skylanders games, all 6 were great quality for kid’s games, with a lot of content, story, levels, collectibles, characters, great music, and a drive to purchase ever Skylander to better the experience, I am glad the series at least went on hiatus to rebuild itself over the past 5 years due to stagnation in sales with Superchargers and Imaginators having the same sales as each other which were less than all the other games, it is a huge relief that Skylanders never got an Enter The Dragonfly, or Boom Bang, which probably would ruin the franchise just enough to finish off what little remained of it back in 2017, I feel like we are growing in influence though, and our community is finally returning to it’s former glory not seen since 2017! Soon we may even see a full resurgence of Skylanders, with remasters, and or new games to help revive the franchise!
Nostalgia will probably help greatly too! All the people who played it as a kid are now at highschool/college age and feeling nostalgia towards it (or at least I am…)! If enough people stick their hand back into the ring, maybe attention will be brought back to Skylanders!
Y'know what? You're totally right. I don't think Skylanders had a single game that I would consider bad. Some were better than others, yes, but overall, they were solid, high quality games that were a lot of fun to play. Pretty impressive considering they only released within a year of each other.
As a skylanders fan, I'd like to say thanks to the great people we have in this fandom, the wonderful games and projects we've had because of it, and the priceless memories that I hope to share with children of my own, thank you TFB, VV, and Activision.

Skylanders is a series I love, it was one of the first games I remember being actively excited for. The characters and collecting them was so much fun. The gameplay while not groundbreaking in anyway, were simply and enjoyable. I miss Skylanders, and I want to see it return someday, rather it be a remake of the 6 games or a new game.

Hey, I had Smash Wii U, Mario Kart 8, Mario Galaxy 2. I got Skylanders Giants and then the rest at some point, but I wasn't sad with those other three games
The amount of appreciation I have for this franchise is immeasurable. I remember my best friend and I sharing our collections with one another whilst playing the first two games, having the time of our lives. Those are some of the fondest memories I can remember. Although I don't often find myself playing these games anymore, and they aren't as present in my life now as they once were, I will always love and cherish them and the memories they helped me to build. My fave Skylanders (No particular order): Chill (my first ever Skylander) Nightfall (whom I got from a friend on my 13: th birthday ”party”) Legendary Bone Bash Roller Brawl (wanted BB Roller Brawl, got the legendary edition on christmas once) Splat (a really cool-looking one who’s got a nice kit) Hex (one of my first Skylanders who quickly became a fave) Stealth Elf (another one of my ogs who had a cool kit) Ninjini (very cool, my sis’ got the Scarlet version and we used to play ”sisters being sisters”) Gearshift (my absolute favourite Trap Master, really liked her kit and the three gear modes) Enigma (found a second hand one once in gamestop, had wanted him for so so so so long) Blastermind (same story as Enigma, me and my sis thought him and Kaos looked like brothers haha) Shortcut (”don’t play or run with scissors” got thrown out the window, he is quite cool) Tide Pool (got her at the same time as BB Roller Brawl, I love the squid pistols. Squids are my favourite animals and made her along with her kit an easy fave) Boom Bloom (she felt really unique with her whip and I noticed the ninja marking on her ”pad” was replaced with the life sign) I love these games so very much, they were my childhood, they gave me and my sister so many good laughs, stories and memories. I don't know what to say really, Skylanders was the game that changed my life. I remember collecting the figures and maxing them out and that one level in Giants I struggled with so much and when I finally completed it I forgot to save. Even to this day I replay the Skylander games every now and then and I have i've always thought of Skylanders as something original and different and just an awesome series. That being said I really do hope that someday we'll get another game and we can relive the experience of playing a new Skylanders game and discovering new figures, areas, ... and wondering where that one treasure is that you missed in a level. Honestly if it weren't for Skylanders I wouldn't be who I am today and it's by far my favorite game series. At last I just hope we see another Skylander game one day and I respect everyone who still loves and/or plays these games and of course a very happy 10th anniversary♥️🎉

Rift Into Overdrive is in my opinion the best Skylanders comic as it explains a LOT about what happened in between Trap Team and Superchargers, R.I.P. Know It All Island. I wish a comic came out that explained what happened in between Superchargers and Imaginators that lead to Kaos betraying the Skylanders again and becoming an evil tyrant once more!
Skylanders is and was such a great series, and is very nostalgic for me now. I remember first getting my first 3 Skylanders; spyro, gill grunt and ignitor when I was young. It's been a great 10 years and I hope that they make a remake of the games so that I can experience the nostalgia again without having to spend another thousand dollars haha- But yeah. One of my favorite parts of Trap Team, was when Kaos gained the ability to see the player through the game. Him telling you to put the controller on the floor, and him "reaching into your room through the screen" was incredible. I love media that breaks the fourth wall.
That being said, Skylanders has been a very fun ride! I may not have played all the games, (I haven't played Superchargers) but the ones I did play are some of the most fun I've had. The game I got the most characters for was Trap Team. I'm having a ton of fun with Imaginators, as I love games where you can make your own characters. I may only have two fire crystals, but it's still fun.
I got the first game for my birthday and played it with my friends all the time. The next game I played was trap team, wich i bought after making a new friend in 5th grade who was also into skylanders. He and I would play the duell mode in SSA and the tower defens mode in STT all the time, eventually beating it on nightmare difficulty. I bought super chargers when it came out, and hated it. Shortly after that I found both Giants and Swap Force for 12,99€ and 9,99€ respectivly, Giants became one of my favorite games and Swap Force wasn't touched after the first level because it was the wii version (I bought it for the figures). Now I'm sitting here, grateful for all the happy memories this franchise has given me. Happy birthday skylanders, you are a part of mine and many other peoples lifes. I think the part about them at the toy store doesn’t try to tell us that the skylanders are toy, but rather that they are stuck on earth and we the portal masters have to send them back to the skylands

While scrolling around on youtube, I found this video. Intrigued I went in and immediately nostalgia hit me. Ironically, I have never played Skylanders. I think imaginators was just the chance for activision to create all levels and stuff they didn't do yet, that's why the story is just so random. also a bit sad that the amounts of skylanders decreased but their prices didn't

Skylanders imaginators is the only Skylanders video game I own and I pretty much enjoy this game not only you can use Skylander characters from the past but you get to create your very own Skylander not to mention that imaginators has Crash Bandicoot as a Sensei playable character

Skylanders Swap Force was the first skylanders game I ever owned, but friends of mine had giants and spyros adventures, so I played skylanders before. Trap Team is the most nostalgic to me, even if I never owned it, but it is the first skylanders I got hyped of because I now knew the games and Trap Team was the first Skylanders I saw the trailer on youtube. I really loved this series and hope that some day they do a remake or even a new game
Personally, I love all the Skylanders games, yes, Imaginators is the most flawed one, but for me all the games have this charm to it, and these games hold a special place in my heart, also, I think Imaginators takes place in between Trap Team and Superchargers and that’s why Kaos is evil again.

I was in 2nd grade when the first game came out. I had it as a Christmas gift. This was probably one of the best games of the 2010s, even though I was more into LEGO games during the time
Skylanders is the best game for us Gen Z kids. And every time I play Skylanders I get so many Nostalgia from it. I remember the first time that I played Spyro's Adventure as a kid
one thing disappointing to me about the later games is how unimportant the arkeyans became, in spyro's adventure the heart of magic is being kept in an arkeyan vault, the arkeyans are the major bad guys (besides kaos) in giants, one of the best levels in swap-force is the arkeyan graveyard, but then they never get mentioned again, except for that one race track in super chargers. You would think in a game with over 50 bosses (trap team) at least one of them would be arkeyan themed, kind of a disappointment.

It’s really sad this franchise ended on a sour note the memories I had playing this franchise this franchise was one of my first video game franchises I played with some of my closest friends got closer to my siblings even played with my cousins (my aunt’s kids) who are younger then me and anytime they come to my house they still want to play skylanders whichever one doesn’t matter to them 😂 gonna miss this franchise still love it no matter what hope activision does something to revive this beloved franchise thank you toys for bob for the fond memories. Many of those friends either moved away or off to college like myself but it’s crazy how this game franchise was the start of these friendships same with my siblings and my cousins it made us grow closer won’t ever forget these times. I think the part about them at the toy store doesn’t try to tell us that the skylanders are toy, but rather that they are stuck on earth and we the portal masters have to send them back to the skylands

I love skylanders,I didn't play spyros adventure but I started playing giants and that got me hooked,I love this series and was a major part of my childhood.
I remember after I played Imaginators I was waiting for that seventh game to come but it never came and I was sad but yet the series is still the best gaming series of all time

*Story:*
A familiar antagonist has returned and discovered a strong and mysterious force that can combined two beings into one. With that power, he can fuse his own minions into powerful beings to cause mayhem among the Skylands. It is up for the elite Skylanders to put an end to his misdeeds, the Fusion Squad.
*Gameplay:*
The players get to fuse two Skylanders into one being with combined powers and elements. But if their fused characters get defeated, they will be un-fused in the process, but the separate characters will still continue on their journeys. They can’t be combined again until their fusion health bars have been fully charged.

While scrolling around on youtube, I found this video. Intrigued I went in and immediately nostalgia hit me. Ironically, I have never played Skylanders. However, the nostalgia that hit me is because of the fact that I read the old Skylanders game guide books. This brought me back, and now I am going out to get my hands on a portal! Thank you!

I think imaginators was just the chance for activision to create all levels and stuff they didn't do yet, that's why the story is just so random.

Skylanders imaginators is the only Skylanders video game I own and I pretty much enjoy this game not only you can use Skylander characters from the past but you get to create your very own Skylander not to mention that imaginators has Crash Bandicoot as a Sensei playable character

Skylanders Swap Force was the first skylanders game I ever owned, but friends of mine had giants and spyros adventures, so I played skylanders before. Trap Team is the most nostalgic to me, even if I never owned it, but it is the first skylanders I got hyped of because I now knew the games and Trap Team was the first Skylanders I saw the trailer on youtube. I really loved this series and hope that some day they do a remake or even a new game
Personally, I love all the Skylanders games, yes, Imaginators is the most flawed one, but for me all the games have this charm to it, and these games hold a special place in my heart, also, I think Imaginators takes place in between Trap Team and Superchargers and that’s why Kaos is evil again.

I have 133 skylanders out of 167 different skylanders.
Edit : I don't count reposes, variants, villains in traptanim, minis, vehicles, or imagination crystals as their own skylander how ever superchargers reposes im counting because they play differently from there original skylander.
I now have 136 the only skylander i don't have any from imaginators yet but ssa to superchargers all characters are collect.
I was in 2nd grade when the first game came out. I had it as a Christmas gift. This was probably one of the best games of the 2010s, even though I was more into LEGO games during the time

Skylanders is the best game for us Gen Z kids. And every time I play Skylanders I get so many Nostalgia from it. I remember the first time that I played Spyro's Adventure as a kid
one thing disappointing to me about the later games is how unimportant the arkeyans became, in spyro's adventure the heart of magic is being kept in an arkeyan vault, the arkeyans are the major bad guys (besides kaos) in giants, one of the best levels in swap-force is the arkeyan graveyard, but then they never get mentioned again, except for that one race track in super chargers. You would think in a game with over 50 bosses (trap team) at least one of them would be arkeyan themed, kind of a disappointment.
