I love him in his role as Crixus on the Spartacus series. I would love to see him in other roles. He is truly menacing on screen but a very nice guy during the interviews.
Thats quite interesting. Never thought of him as James Bond. Could work, but the issue i would have is that his just too bad ass to be a James Bond. Unless he takes a similar approach to Daniel Craig of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
Faeez Hendricks I think he's just as BAD ASS. Have you seen Spartacus Blood and Sand??? He's also one of the fitness guys around as Daniel Craig is. Anyway Craig still has 3 more movies to go I guess. I'm just thinking ahead. I don't want to see Craig on crutches like Roger Moore. He must have been around 58 when he did that last bond movie he was in. This was even though James Brolin had already did the screen test for that movie (octopussy I think).
Yeah i know exactly what you mean. I have seen him in the whole series of Spartacus (one of my all time best series) and he was brilliant in there. I loved the character development in Spartacus. Especially with him. In season 3 he has one of the most badass scenes of the series where the romans almost caught his chick, but spartacus and the crew saved her. As they running away the romans made a comment and Crixus turns around and goes full head on to them where he takes out all those romans and picks the one up with one hand. Loved that fight scene. I just really hated how the ended him in season 3. Was the worst way to go for him!
Faeez Hendricks Well in the actual historical story of Spartacus and his companions I don't think any one of them survived in the end. Crixus actually was brutally executed in real life too! But are the Romans also not gone now? Something to think about and reflect I guess?
Yeah I know none of them servived in the historical one. There were two endings from two different writers if I'm not mistaken?one where Sparticuses body was never found and the other was everyone was crucified. I stand to be corrected though. I would have preferred if Crixus was brutally murdered during a fight or the execution even though beheading him infront of his love was really damaging. Indeed quite a bit of to reflect about. ^_^
I love Manu soooo much! His voice is one of the most distinctive thing about him! Hope to meet him someday!
