Your amazing videos have been an inspiration to use my XC70 similarly in Arizona. Easy to drive, ample space, comfortable, and quite perfect for camping. Thank you. Have you ever had problems with the battery draining overnight and the locks not opening? Do have suggestions on how to open the power locks without battery power? Also - Have you had any problems with the power gate? Appreciate any suggestions.

Hello from Croatia, I’m following your YT cannel and I really like your videos. So I have one question and doubt, there is opportunity for me to buy ‘08 Xc70 D5 (Awd automatic) with 200.000km, from the 2nd owner with clear service history. Price is 14.500eur. Now I’m driving VW Golf 7 Variant from 2013., and I have big dilemma to change newer car for older Volvo. XC70 is my dream car, so I would be grateful for your opinion. Thank you in advance.

I have wagons, and honestly a minivan would be about 8000x time more practical for that purpose. Not even taking swedish reliability into account lol
I would never take something with such low ground clearance off road. I guess that's why you were going so slow?

Hi, I disagree with you. Choosing the type of car is a matter of personal preference, I wouldn't exchange the XC70 for any van. I've never had a problem off-road, the height is just right and the AWD works great 🙂

Come on, I’m doing the same and am not exactly happy. XC70 is frikin tiny inside, booth is okay, but legroom at the rear is abysmal. There is no space for anything else than sitting straight. I’m thinking about getting a minibus. Also the carpeted interior is absurdity for a “cross country” concept.
