My overall experience is 8 year having 30 LPA That is the reason I am thinking of moving from sap consultant to DSA . Do I really get more than what I have now if I take a move.

Being in the industry for quite a while now and having started my career in this domain right from the start, having seen the transition in comp, I can tell you for sure that with the right skillset, sky is the limit(literally)when it comes to comp. It will be challenging to make a switch but after spending a few years in DS and gaining relevant experience, you definitely wont regret making a switch to DS when it comes to salary. It will take time and effort but definitely doable.

If you are really passionate about it, take a stab at it, its definitely worth it. The Data Science landscape is growing fast, and there are more roles opening up in companies, since you already might have domain understanding in finance and accounting, start learning about DS fundamentals and try to look for an entry level role in DS in a similar company, it will take a lot of effort to study, build a decent profile, apply, land interviews and finally receive offers but its certainly doable and completely worth it if its something you are passionate about, best of luck!
