  • This board has only 4 inputs and 4 outputs and maybe we want to add some extra buttons like Start , Pause and these 4 inputs just not enough. But It has some hidden inputs , what is I say you can add 8 extra input (just as general inputs purposes)??
Yes , there are extra pins on board and we didn't notice!!
these pins are for MPG (handwheel) but the documentary of the board mentions these feature .
when I was searching about the wiring of MPG ( • Mach3 MPG Wiring and F... ), I just found this feature …
This video is just for introduction and showing the prototype of mine.
you can design box and buttons better then mine.
In the next video I explain everything and not just this board has extra hidden inputs ...
    video can be find here:

Trying to figure out myself how to get it work, but I'm not that good in mach3 configuration. Excited to see your next video!

How did you configurate the button on/Off of the spindle? with OEM codes? In that case, can you tell me what codes control the spindle?
    Thank you

Spindles will be on and off with gcode and configuration in output pins , I have a video to show you how to run spindle , wait for it ...

    Excellent work, maestro! :)
I see that you have an interest in this controller.
I also chose it from many others. And now I'm trying to connect a laser to it. However, Mach3 has a feature that prevents the use of the laser: it stops the movement along the axes if the M3/M4 command is encountered in the program or the rpm change (Snnn -> Smmm). To prevent this program, the developers of Mach3 made changes to the program. Then it became possible to control the laser using the M11Pxxx / M10Pxxx commands. The M11Pxxx command sends a signal to pin xxx and M10Pxxx disables it.
And now I'm thinking, can I use output 4 of this controller for such a task?
If you could check my assumptions - I would be very grateful. And I will be happy to distribute your information among the community of users of this controller.

      Thanks a lot.
I am trying to connect the laser to mach3 with PWM support (not with relay) ,I Searched a lot but I couldn't find anything for real or those are just for advertising.
I'm on it 👍 and anything new will be informed here.

@@manifa59 I will be glad to help you with my knowledge.
I researched the issue of laser control in Mach3.
Not sure if there is a solution for halftone laser engraving using PWM. As I said, Mach3 pauses the movement of the tool when the S mode is changed.
It is possible at the beginning of the NC to set the needed laser power with the S command, then apply power to the laser with the M3 command. After that, turn on the laser at the previously set power with the M11 command at the burn points.
To implement such a mode, I need to check the ability of the STB4100 controller to control output 4 by command M11P4 / M10P4. You will also have to put an "AND" logic element with PWM inputs (output 3) and output 4.

@@manifa59 Hi! I have been experimenting with the laser. So far, I have not been able to solve the problem of the machine freezing at the time of switching.
This freeze occurs on commands M03/M05, M07/M08/M09 and Sxxx
The hope for the M11P4 team did not materialize. I was unable to control the O4 output with it. Although I found a lot of evidence on the Internet that this command works correctly with LPT.
I'm afraid that the "RnR Motion" plugin is not capable of handling this command.
Then the option remains with the output Dir of axis A.

@@AlexMoonXXI Main part is searching and searching ...
I have seen lots of video running lasers with mach3 but no configuration and even no electronic part included.
So we must do it by our experience.
I am on it until success

@@manifa59 Most laser control solutions are based on the LPT board.
In addition, many users are not picky about the quality of laser processing. If the laser is used only for cutting, then M3 / M5 commands are enough.
But I need a laser to expose photosensitive materials on PCB. This implies raster-movement mode. And it doesn't allow any delays at on/off moments.
So for me, only control of the M11 / M10 commands is suitable. But they can work well with the LPT board, but not with the red USB controller.
I hope this problem can be solved.
