    Eric.... I could feel your pain. That's as real as it gets. Getting a stalk on and a shot on any game is an achievement, but on a mature bull like that is a big win! Keep it up and all of your videos are fantastic!

    Love all of these videos, some of the best outdoor content available imo. You can actually see the arrow come through a moment after the bull flinches and starts to move in the lower right side of the screen right to left at 26:08. Just thought it was cool to see how fast he reacted to the sound of even a quiet bow like the RX3

    Hi Eric ,
    Been following you for a while and really appreciate and enjoy your hunts.. I’m 87 so I gotcha by a few years. I’ve shot over 💯 whitetails and 2 bull elk , the longest at 900 yards( my naval sniper years helped)..I just ordered from phonescope the adapter to my Meade 20x20-60..I have the apple iPhone 7 and mentioned your name .. Got 10 percent off.. Thank you!!
    When you pinch your fingers for composing it implies that the pic is digital and not optical,, where if you had increased the optical a better result would have been achieved..? Thank you buddy

    EC, if you look real close after he runs off I think you can se you arrow land. Looks like it got there late too. Almost like he jumped your shot.

    • @Ko3n3k33
      @Ko3n3k33 5 лет назад +3

      He was long gone too if you run it frame by frame it looks like it hits even behind his back legs. Shot looked low but right-left looked good for where he was but he moved almost a body length by the time it got there. I think Eric made all the right calls on the shot but its hard when you cow call and get something alert before you shoot when you are that far away.

    Serious question that I’m hoping someone can help me with. I’m 18 years old and I’ve killed 5 deer, lots of turkeys and ducks and almost a bear once. This year anytime I deer walks out (none have been close enough) I feel like a won’t be able to release the arrow because for some reason I just feel bad for killing it this year. I want to know how I can fix this and I obviously feel bad every time I take a life of an animal but this year it feels different. I’m still going to hunt and I’m going to let the arrow go if one comes in close enough but I just feel so bad..

    • @jasonjohns4439
      @jasonjohns4439 5 лет назад +1

      Burnt Toast I would focus on the fact that you are giving these animals the best death they will possibly get while providing the best protein for yourself. Other options for them are they die of starvation at an old age or brutally killed slowly by a predator. Have you had a kill that you question ethically?

    • @uke4382
      @uke4382 5 лет назад

      Jason Johns I haven’t been unlucky enough to have an animal suffer, and all of mine died within a few minutes of being shot. I think it’s more of the fear of making a bad shot and the animal suffering than anything. You do make a good point with the best death possible.
