“Please don’t make me mine any more copper.” Poor, poor ice is about to discover that Kenshi is 98% copper mining and 2% getting his ass kicked by homeless people.
Please look up a guide on how to base build, as soon as you understand the basics it really gets enjoyable. Would really love to see you play this, there are so many mods that change the game that it has a lot of replay value.
"Padaweenies" Good stuff, good series. You seem to be stumbling through more competently than most, so I'll pass along the base building advice I wished I had: Building materials are made of stone, stone mines are made of iron plates; 10, I think. Early base is mostly those two things and a bit of copper. Mostly mountains of materials and plates, though. Endless amounts. Also, wooden/trader's backpacks stack items.
I love the fact you tried kenshi again, yeah its rough on your first couple go's, but it picks up quick. I love you're editing style especially for games like this. Please keep up the great work
Mr. Streamer, amazing to see you found this gem of a game, i have probaly about 500+ hours in this timesink Litte tip: your guys don't actually need water they stay hydrated by sucking on the souls of there destryed enemies ( ok the water parts is truth, the learing curve for the game is a bit steep but its simular to rimworld in that regard)
I’m really excited for more kenshi, a quick tip, when you move as a group, you can change it so the group will match the speed of the slowest member so they all stay together. You can change it by pressing the arrows next to the little running man when everyone is selected together, change it to the one that looks like it has a shadow following him. Bad description but hope it helps, keep up the great work, love your vids mr streamer!
If you haven't already get the mod compilation called "age of blood and sands" it's a huge compilation, also to make your people run together at the same speed adjust the speed button until there is two running stick figures make sure all are on that mode.
Couple of things. 1. You can right click an item to instantly move it to shop keeper’s inventory and vice versa 2. You don’t need to drink water in kenshi 3. You can make building materials by processing strone in stone procesor. You need buildnig materials to build a stone mine and iron plates to build the stone procesor. You can buy both from shops. 4. Above the buttons which open the inventory you can see a tilted square with a running icon it is used to set pace for your party they are walk jog run sprint and tun as fast as the slowest member of the party. (They are not called like that I’m just too lazy to check it. 5. You should train a ninja - you take one of your party members , bring him to town, toggle sneak on and walk him around till he levels up. At higher levels 70-80 maybe they become practically invisible.
I should also mention I love kenshi and thought your video was really funny and entertaining. I would love to see more! So long as you enjoy making more kenshi videos, that is.
Kenshi is pretty slow and tough at the start, but I really think you'd like the colony side of things. If the game still doesn't feel like your sort of thing but you're still willing to give it yet another chance, I recommend picking the settlers start - or better yet, modding in your own start (the game comes with its own editor) and giving yourself a bunch of starting resources, money and people. Build a little town right off the bat, skip over the days of walking around, mining and trading. The game feels a lot like Rimworld after that point, especially if you stick to your colony. You get occasional raids, trading caravans, you make new crafting stations, manage power... The big difference is that the game also strongly encourages you to go out into the world and explore Ancient Ruins to get loot and new technology - I suppose similar to how Rimworld will sometimes force you to leave your base and destroy a weather controller, but on a much bigger scale. Some sweatier fans of Kenshi might say that you're skipping a very important part of the game (and, granted, I really do find it fun to crawl through the dust, grinding out and selling copper so I can afford building materials), but the base-building is just as cool and enjoyable, and I think way closer to the more familiar Rimworld.
Kenshi is a game that is fun to watch regardless of how knowledgeable or experienced someone is with it, just be sure to constantly look things up if you're confused because sometimes the mechanics can be annoying.
0:28 That is desert glass, it is created when lightning strikes sand. This can also happen on beaches and is what the first mirrors were made out of, and old mirrors tend to be so costly.
Water is for farming, you don't need to drink in kenshi. Alcohol is just for selling, not consumption. Food put in a backpack can feed people automatically without keeping food on each character. And food doesn't expire or go bad like in rimworld. You can change the way your party runs on the main interface. ( Has a running guy icon left of game speed) The Holy nation that mainly lives around where you chose to settle, doesn't like other races or women. You might want to purchase a small building in town, get established a bit, and do some research before you start a stand alone settlement. -Really enjoyed this one, hope you do more series in the future! Thanks Mr Streamer :)
Honestly, I'm glad you switched from FP to Kenshi. For some reason your fucking Kenshi content is SO funny, except I am going to have to ask you to tone it down because I look very strange watching it at work and giggling like a small child at my screen. Also, if you click the button that looks like a little running guy until it gets two little running guys, I think it should make them all run at the same speed.
If you shift click when you assign a job, it will make that default behavior and add it to that character's job queue in the lower right. Then they will automatically do that job when idle / needed. Like giving your bandages to the best medic and giving him the medic job, he will automatically start healing people when combat is over. Also you can change the running "type" by clicking the arrows above the inventory button. There's a setting to make them run as a group, or every man for himself. Loving the star wars puns.
The intro doesn't end, 5min. in... 30min. in... wha'? I can feel my sanity slipping away, what a fucking fantastic experience this is going to be for everyone involved.
Yes. I love this game I am glad that you are trying it again Also it was dumbstruck that the holy nation didn't like too. The holy nation dislikes all non-humans and hates robots and you cant get replacement limbs while in their territory but it is the best places in the game.
Protip for character that has been stuck on terrain/behind objects/inside objects. You can pick those characters up by 1. clicking on character that you want to use to rescue them 2. hold right click on character that you want to rescue 3. select "Pickup" this action has suprisingly long reach (about 1,5 meters) You should now be able to put them down without them being stuck.
I am SO excited you came back to Kenshi!! I’ve been waiting for this since your first...ahem...attempt 😂 They are amazing! Keep up the fantastic videos Mr. Streamer!!
took you some time to get back to kenshi.. Some tips.. right click for selling Shift-right click to sell stacks Food doesn't spoil No drinking in the game, Water jugs are completly useless Pick up stuck people After the max speed running option there is a group speed option to have them running at the same speed (Depending on the slowest member).. There is so much to learn about this game.. it's gonna be a treat to watch it unfold.. if you gonna stick to it..
I recommend you play a separate play through on your own. There’s a lot of cool stuff that you can do in the game and I want you to be able to enjoy it as well!
You should download “more combat animations” if you plan on continuing the campaign into late game, it makes it so that higher level characters will do moves with increasing damage and style points. Basically it makes it so that combat is 10x more interesting to watch. Friendly word of advice you can make the characters run at the same pace by clicking the arrows on the Icon with the little running man on it, or more tediously, you could make all of your characters follow your slowest. Also the Holy Nation will enslave any non-humans, so if you want to keep dumptruck (who wouldn’t) i would reccomend getting out of Okran’s pride, or an location that has Okran in it, they also hate any robots, technology and anyone with prosthetics or without a bible. Lastly unless you want your comment section filled with “beep “ i reccomend you visit the foglands once your characters can run faster, there is a unique recruit called beep, who is basically the biggest meme in the game, you won’t regret recruiting him. Keep the keshi content coming

Yes I would like to see more Kenshi Videos. Also here are some tips you'll find immediately useful:

-Backpacks effectively reduce the weight of items when inside them, so always put items in there when possible so your pawns don't get over encumbered severely
-If you put food in a backpack while a person is wearing it, people nearby will be able to grab food from the backpack without needing food in their inventory
-Generally speaking, you want to always remove a backpack from your inventory because it negatively impacts your character's combat stats (The only exception being the small thieves like the one Jobi-Nobi is wearing)
-Standard Backpacks are good for general adventuring, the Wooden Backpacks (the weird box looking ones in the backpack store) are good for mining, hauling, and storing large amounts of food
Settlements:
-Like Rimworld, you get a grace period when you start building a settlement before raids happen. Unlike rimworld, raids are not scaled to progression, so in the beginning raids will be really hard and then get more manageable (assuming you survive the first raid)
-Generally the first thing you always do is to put a research bench into a building you own (ideally in a pre-established town where you can buy buildings), research makeshift walls, research walls, then research turrets (iirc). To research things you require books, which could be gotten from stores (recommended) or by scavenging ruins (not recommended for the start of the game)
-You can generate your own building materials by building a Stone Mine and then a Stone Processor (both require people assigned to it like with the ore nodes you were mining)
The Holy Nation:
-Do not fuck with them or be coy with them, they will destroy you at this stage of the game
-Do not let any non humanoids go into Holy Nation territory by themselves without a Greenlander (Bog Standard Human like Jobi-Nobi) escorting them.
-DO NOT LET A ROBOT PERSON OR ANYONE WITH CYBERNETICS GO INTO HOLY NATION TERRITORY, THEY WILL BE KILLED ON SIGHT REGARDLESS OF WHO IS WITH THEM
-When the Holy Nation sends an envoy to your settlement for prayer day (periodic event), send a Greenlander who ideally has a copy of the Holy Flame with them. If you send someone who is not a Greenlander to talk with the priest, they will immediately leave and then send an army to "purge your heretical abomination of a settlement."
Quality of Life:
-To the left of the pause button there is a diamond with a picture of a person running. If you click the arrows left and right of the running person, you can choose how fast the group you currently selected moves, this includes an option for everyone to move at the slowest person's top speed (useful for moments like in the video where Dumptruck got separated from the other two because he was too slow to keep up)

Holy shit, this editing is actually amazing 😂😂😂 it’s like a bloody mad fever dream, I love this and hope it goes for some time
His mind shatters again and again. It has stitched itself together once more to bring us this horror. We wait for the next. Scared and alone.
how do you come up with such funny names all the time!
"Old Jodi Nobi" had me dying
I have been waiting for this day for so long
I know I'm late to the party but I adore this zero-explanation RP.
13:31 is my new vocal stim.
Alright, I spent this entire episode laughing at your commentary. Great work :DD
Kenshi is a game that is fun to watch regardless of how knowledgeable or experienced someone is with it, just be sure to constantly look things up if you're confused because sometimes the mechanics can be annoying.
I didn't enjoy playing Kenshi either, but I did enjoy watching this!
( Has a running guy icon left of game speed)
The Holy nation that mainly lives around where you chose to settle, doesn't like other races or women.
Kenshi huh i think i ill die if you play kenshi daily too, god you so funny.
mrstreamer: yeah lets go to okrans pride, that sounds nice
everyone: oh no
I love Frostpunk, but this is much more entertaining. You seem to be having a more enjoyable experience too.
Mr. streamer is gonna Love kenshi!! this is gonna be fun!
I loved this episode! Fits your way of story telling! Excited to watch more!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes. I love this game I am glad that you are trying it again
Also it was dumbstruck that the holy nation didn't like too. The holy nation dislikes all non-humans and hates robots and you cant get replacement limbs while in their territory but it is the best places in the game.
Protip for character that has been stuck on terrain/behind objects/inside objects. You can pick those characters up by
1. clicking on character that you want to use to rescue them
2. hold right click on character that you want to rescue
3. select "Pickup" this action has suprisingly long reach (about 1,5 meters)
You should now be able to put them down without them being stuck.
I am SO excited you came back to Kenshi!! I’ve been waiting for this since your first...ahem...attempt 😂 They are amazing! Keep up the fantastic videos Mr. Streamer!!
I imagine this old jobi nobi is rei's father lmao, just a junk trader by the end of the day. another S+ episode.
Frostpunk looks different here
took you some time to get back to kenshi..
Some tips..
right click for selling
Shift-right click to sell stacks
Food doesn't spoil
No drinking in the game, Water jugs are completly useless
Pick up stuck people
After the max speed running option there is a group speed option to have them running at the same speed (Depending on the slowest member)..
There is so much to learn about this game.. it's gonna be a treat to watch it unfold.. if you gonna stick to it..
Your commentary is what’s making it for me idk If I like it yet lol
This is delightful
Kenshi is a lot of fun especially with mods. It might be a bit of work to get in to but once you do its amazing
Mr. Streamer is as creative as always I see.
Bro I just bought Kenshi like a week ago and thought “It’d be cool if Mr Streamer did a series”. Me happy
this is pure comedy and I love it
Kenshi, is a game ahead of its time and very fucking beautiful for what they have beeen working with
I recommend you play a separate play through on your own. There’s a lot of cool stuff that you can do in the game and I want you to be able to enjoy it as well!
I want to see him mess up
Excited to see you play this, though the editing feels really heavy
This is hilarious. OMG Jobi Nobi is a gift.
nobi jobi would have been fun too no one likes the i's though ..... nob job
Old Jobi-Nobi needs "grocery" money
I just started getting into watching other Kenshi series and I see this pop up. Real fucking hype for this.
Finally. I was wondering when you were gonna play this game
Keep the keshi content coming
you were born to play kenshi. and there is even a frustrating settlement system that you can get stressed over
