  • For 2024 I’ve decided to breed my Young bird team earlier this year. Most eggs were laid on the 10-16th of December week. So I should be expecting some of my first round of babies towards the start of January.

Thanks brother, no there’s a guy I believe either Minnesota or Wisconsin that my pigeon buddy got these cocks from. He goes by lucky Ali so I usually name birds after the original owners

I like how you marked each nest box with a playing card. Also, I had wanted to breed a couple of my pairs as well but I don't have the luxury of adding artificial light into their coop. What advice could you give in order to help them get into breeding?

Thanks, the best thing you can add to the loft with out being able to drag an extension cord to the loft is installing solar panel shop lights. I get mine from Menards. The only downside is sometimes during winter the sunlight is minimal and won’t fully charge the light but you should still be able to get 30mins to an hour of running light. I’ll usually turn on my lights when it’s dark already and give them some night feeding and let the lights run until it dies. Repeat daily and just provide nest bowls and nesting materials. The birds should start breeding within a week or so and always keep an eye on the birds daily
