    Came out nice. You can put shellac or shellac based primer over those raw particle board spots. I use spray shellac. After it dries you can sand smooth. Depending on the extent of the damage, it may take a couple of coats.

      Was gonna suggest the same or bin primer does the trick also to seal the particle board up so trick is use a very fine sand paper after u smooth it to basically make the particles very smooth then shellac or prime then sand with 1000 or 800 sandpaper in between coats and do at least two then paint as usual and sand between those coats also and it will be a super smooth finish as close to factory as can get

    Flipping Furniture for Profit has a great video for bubbling MDF. Her channel is awesome. That way if you run into this again you'll know what to do. Cause you should never put more water or water based products on already damaged partial board or MDF. It turned out beautiful though.
