    I find the hype about kerrygold disturbing. It is more expensive than others, which I presume is because it's from grass fed cows. When i researched this i found that it's sourced from the same cows all year round. In summer, there is grass, but in winter, there isn't. So, how do they justify the price hike, when they don't eat grass all year round?

    • @andrewhead6267
      @andrewhead6267 11 месяцев назад +9

      Virtually all milk in the uk is from grass fed cattle. They graze fields when the weather is fine, and then when brought in during the winter they are fed cut grass that is clamped. Their diet is supplemented through out the year in the milking parlour with cereal based feed. In winter they might be fed beets, potatoes and turnips in with the silage. Kerry hold butter is expensive because it’s a brand, plus it’s imported.

    A lot of people have the dream of going back to nature,most of those that try it see that's its not what they imagined,its cold hard relentless survival,like our ancestors did,when in fact you can have the best of both,I reckon,but maybe I'm dreaming too,so I grow what I can in my bungalow garden,but thank god that tesco is five minutes walk away where they sell some organic food to go with my own produce,so I enjoy the dream,but deal with the reality,mostly.

    I experience the same pain you describe. I think the strain arises from sitting too much in a rigid position. I get the condition when I spend too much time on computer or don't stretch enough. The whole body is connected. I use bodywork balls and knobs to work out "knots" I can feel which also helps tremendously. Press your leg in the spot you feel soreness and see if you can feel a tenderness where a "knot" is. Massage if necessary. I have the same problem with my bacon here. I simply use a knife to cut 3/4 so a flap can be folded; then, I re-wrap it tightly in cling wrap and then aluminum foil. I break open my eggs the same way after seeing a chef on YT do the same. Much better than the years I cracked on the side of the pan or a bowl. I moved 3 years ago and am cooking on gas for the first time in my life. I love it. I whip the scrambled eggs, splash a small amount of cream & droplet of water (chef recommended), add small slivers of butter (plus salt & pepper) and cook on the highest heat in a slightly hot skillet. I remove the eggs from heat as the skillet heats up. They're always soft and flavorful. I buy grass-fed butter from companies in the U.S. which is slightly higher in price than Kerry: I want as local as possible. Yes, we have daylight savings time in the U.S. Arizona and Hawaii don't participate. Ours is Nov. 5. Governments and those who develop technology like AI are in bed together. News on inflation from U.S.: "UMich Inflation Expectations Exploded Higher In October: 'Consumer Frustration Appeared Everywhere'" from ZeroHedge. I don't watch any TV and get my news only from internet sources I trust. "While consumers recognize that inflation has slowed down from its peak last summer, they cannot ignore that their budgets remain stretched and their purchasing power reduced." In the U.S., credit cards are maxxed out equivalent to 2008. The homeless exploding near major cities. I think a good option for me in my 70s will be a small town with neighbors near-by...hopefully with a great garden area. I've lived isolated since March 2020 and see people only when walking or in stores. I would prefer some social contact but am prepared to have none if life so dictates. I'm sitting here with perhaps the last of the fall bloom in roses with my Peace rose (pinkish with yellow center) and the most intoxicating fragrance. I'm in heaven.

      I suffer with restless legs too , some people get relief from using magnesium spray on their legs , you can make your your own by using 1 cup of Magnesium Citrate to 1 cup of boiling water, this will keeps for a good few months . You may find when applied it will make you itch(this may mean you ARE low in magnesium) a way to combat that is to apply a little oil (olive, coconut,avocado) which will slow down the absorption of the MO .

    So much to comment on in this video. In regards to keto, I know from my own experience that unless I was absolutely strict with it I strayed too often. I’d say “I’ll just have a little “ and it would slowly erode into cheating regularly.
    Second, never trust government. It *always* tries to assume more power and control while reducing individual freedom. Especially in the US the government has taken powers far beyond what was ever originally envisioned. But living in the woods alone sounds good, and I’ve wanted that myself, but in reality complete self sufficiency is really difficult to achieve. Few people really want to raise pigs for slaughter, for example, to get that rasher if bacon in the morning.
    Last, AI has such great potential but it will be subverted by governments and corporations who will use it against the people. But the toothpaste is out of the tube. There’s no getting it back in though the government is the last one that should be in charge of it.
    Thanks for a morning of considerable thought-provoking content
