Great thought.. ! Now in 2019 the traffic is very much horrible ! ! I'm scared of Bangalore...
I'm not sure how many people witnessed yesterday's traffic from Tin factory to ITI Gate.. Worst !
We need to unite to implement a solution for it else it is gonna be worst than now..

I want to understand two points.
    1. Why can't people (car and bike owners) use ride share apps like quickride which can easily decongest the road by 50%(specially talking about ORR from Silk board to KR Puram) and also give them extra earning?
    2. Why the shared auto service not available much in the city? In my hometown it's a big success and all auto walas earn nicely.

One problem is state collects fuel tax and vehicle road tax. And they convert it to infrastructure projects.

Instead of depending on government and others for our day to day travel why don't public use cycling as an primary mode of transportation. Since most of them traveling less than 10kms every day. And people should demand the government to provide required infrastructure. This alone can solve many problems related to the traffic. We have seen bund/ protests for political reasons but never seen any public to protest for their true problems every one of them should unite for this then only the people in positions will listen.

Illogical and unimplementable,Instead of this taxi system suggested here.we need to go for public transport system like bus, metro and suburban rail.

Cause humans respond well to logic and good sense? If you listen carefully he suggests a combination of public transport (metro, buses) and taxis that are free to take you where you want instead of autos. Cause autos are less safe (in an accident), expose you to pollution, ... and if there are more taxis and less private vehecles, the same taxi can be used by (approx) 10 private rides a day. Means 1/10 cars needed, means at least 80% less cars and bikes parked all over the roads blocking everything else. Less of this -> imgur.com/a/XMAyw

There is a discipline called Transport Planning- they are thinking about implementing better ideas and beyond.. so don't think you are some messiah ! Giving some big speech and coming to the venue in his swanky Porche...We have too many people talking and very few people doing things!
