Love this! Had no clue the...rims? could don't ring like that. So thank you! Saw a comment that your channel was new (a few years ago but better later than never) so I'm gonna go check out the rest of it when this one's done. Thanks again!
Love you vid. Roto Toms are Great! Bozzio used a product called "Spoxe." Which I believe were created based on the rototom frame casting. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks Chris. I have a second part on this topic and I still have not made a video on the complete restoration of the spoxe and rims. Busy life. Coming soon.
F**k YEAH, Ring them bells, dude! I'm glad I'm not the only one who plays the roto-tom castings like bell chimes; and I think they sound beautiful! Just gotta be careful not to smack them too hard, or else the casting could break. The castings sound terrific in a recording studio; and in a live concert venue you'd have to mic them to be heard in the audience. Thanks for this awesome upload!
1:53 Holy balls I was NOT expecting that! Wow. Literally clear as a bell. (Grr people have almost ruined the word "literally" for me...) I've finally got my first set of rotos on their way (Remo) and now I'm even more excited!
Thank you Julian. My channel is new and I'm just getting started. So all the thanks and thumbs up are all appreciated. I have more videos on the channel and making news ones when I come up with ideas. If you have any hit me up, and lets discuss it.
You bet. I personally prefer Evans over Remo. I used to be a Remo player, but to me Evans has a better product. But that's my opinion. Thanks for the comment

What i did was hack saw the rototom track, and clamp individual toms to my drum rack. Rock solid, no wobble.

Mr Bozzio himself once referred to them as the castings, that's another word I guess!!!
They're called Spoxe.
Thanks Kevin.
This is great learned a ton thank you

Such heresy! Evans heads on Remo rototoms!?!

I used Cana-sonic brand fiberskins on rotos back in the ‘80s
Spoke!! Stryper drummer plays them as well as Terry
SpoXe
Spokes!
SpoXe
80s drumming sounds better in my opinion.
