I made the mistake once when a teenager of giving ID while doing nothing wrong and it bit me in the ass, never again. Couldn’t sleep, an hour or two just trying. Decided to go for a bike ride to get some energy out (far more exhausting than say walking). Cop pulls up and I stop. She asks me what I’m doing and I told her exactly that. She insinuated that I was scoping houses. I told her no of course not, I’m just biking around. And here’s the kicker, I was damned moving not slowly peddling so how does one scope houses at a high speed? She asked for my Id. Being younger I figured showing that would alleviate her concerns as I was being upfront and not worried etc. She let me leave without further bother. Fast forward to next time I’m dealing with police. He mentioned that I was out biking late scoping houses according to a note on the file. There wasn’t a 911 call for concern form a homeowner, I didn’t have a backpack say with tools. I wasn’t parked anywhere specific or slowly biking looking at houses (still not illegal just saying absolutely zero justification for this thought) and now that’s a mark on my file. Granted it was 15 years ago but I wonder if it was still there. So ridiculous. You have to protect your rights. Any one you identify even if not in trouble it shows another interaction. Several of these innocent interactions make you then questionable because “why have you dealt with police so many times?” Umm because some of your clearly are a bit crooked and like to put bs on people files without justification.

I’ll sincerely hope for training policies for future officers are taught to use neutral sense which means that they must put themselves in the shoes of whom they are approaching and determine the correct attitude that makes sense and not one that suggests that whomever is being approached must obey commands because they’re beneath the officer . All it really takes is an attitude that is equal to citizens rights and one that is none threatening and citizens will gladly comply every single time.

Glad he knew his rights!
Kudos to this Yardsailing man, you keep going dude!
Carry on of what’s you doing.
Oh…thank you,
almighty public servant.
The harassment started as soon as he pointed that flashlight right in the camera and kept it there the whole time he was speaking to you that is against the law. They are not allowed to do that.
Can you name both states that actually made that illegal?
Go find some actual criminals.
Because real criminals hide from the police and run from them. It's easier to catch law bidding citizens and file bogus criminal charges against them. Don't you realize we are all criminals in their eyes!
But that's dangerous. Like acorns.
Appeared that’s what they were doing, investigating a possible crime
@@CM-ve1bzwhat crime? Unlawful table setup? No .

Is a cop required to have absolute proof somebody has committed a crime before they can ask any question of anybody.
Or is that why the questions are asked. Many crimes are stopped or solved by asking a couple of questions, that you aren’t required to answer.
I just love how the cop gives him that "carry on" line....what an ego! Couldn't make the guy give up his id so he saves face by telling him it's ok to keep doing what he already was.
They have lost their minds!
The use of a flashlight to defeat video . Isn't that violation of First Amendment Rights?
ABSOLUTELY!
WE NEED TO KNOW THE OUTCOMES!
Several of these innocent interactions make you then questionable because “why have you dealt with police so many times?”
Umm because some of your clearly are a bit crooked and like to put bs on people files without justification.
This.
They werent happy until they "gave" them permission to continue
"Can I see your ID?"
"Why?"
"Because I have to be in control."
Poorly trained cop
Is there any that is trained ?? They’re policy enforcers. Not law enforcers.
This unfortunate incident is the perfect example when Incompetent public servants get 6 months of training at the academy , we citizens end up with cops " DUMBER" than a second coat of paint 🎨....
When are these " DUMB COPS " going to learn that IDing someone is not going to tell them if this individual has the right to be on public property....😂😂😂😂😂
These are American citizens in a public place so how can the police judge whether they have the right to be there?
My Lord, we can't be free anymore! Even our government is trying to be a one party state!
Earning the hate! Law enforcement in this country is totally out of control!!!
Who the hell would want to live in America. Unbelievable how police behave. Power trip comes to mind.
I get off work at 1am every day. Thank god this dummy cop doesn't work in my town. Probably pull me over while driving home for being out late. 🤮
What a fool of a cop
Love this
Someone has to educate not only the cops that lie to us all but us as citizens I understand officers have a job to do but I’m not convinced all officers know exactly what the job is and genuinely believe that somehow they are above the law .
Common sense can not only identify a situation but also can be instructive as far as the proper approach towards citizens.
I’ll sincerely hope for training policies for future officers are taught to use neutral sense which means that they must put themselves in the shoes of whom they are approaching and determine the correct attitude that makes sense and not one that suggests that whomever is being approached must obey commands
because they’re beneath the officer .
All it really takes is an attitude that is equal to citizens rights and one that is none threatening and citizens will gladly comply every single time.
Seriously...they can clearly see he's setting up tables. What a crime!!😠😡
Plot twist: The Sergeant returned in the morning and got a great deal on a toaster! 🍞
Flashlight intimidation fail!
Tree of liberty grows thirsty
Rolling up like the bad guys in an old western.
Thank you 😮
I can't believe there's so many dumb cops around , could make a TV series out of this 😂
When you only need a GED and a few weeks training in an "academy" with LESS training than a HAIRDRESSER what do you expect??? DUMBEST MOST CORRUPT "profession" IN THE WORLD!! YOU JUST CAN'T FIX STUPID!!
It's willfull ignorance
@@VentrexTheXVth👍
these are the kids who got BULLIED in school, POWER TRIPS SMFH 😮
“You can run my tags (to ID me) but you’re not getting my ID” 🤦🏻♀️
Well considering the quote tags on presuming are his license plates on his vehicle that is parked in the street which they have the right to run at any time so then that would tell them whether that car is meant to be at that address that is completely different than demanding physical identification to run at what amounts to a search then on the name learn your fucking right to yourself asshole
Running the tags only tells them who the registered owner is. He could be borrowing his friend's car. Unless the vehicle has been reported stolen, there's not much the cop can do to compel his actual I.D.
Makes me wonder if there is a high level of fear in that officer.
JUST THE PAST WEEKEND, i had a garage sell, i posted signs around the blocks and told everyone to park on the street and not in the alley ways, the one that dont listen i would not sell to, the police came to my house asked for a permit to sell in the garage sale, i told them all the items were on the property, no need for the permit when im selling from my house and the property , the captain argued about the permit, i took him look or buying something or leave, ! he instead gave me a ticket selling without a permit?, on monday took the ticket down to his chief and since the chief told me the rules of a property sale, he took the ticket and called the officer that gave me the ticket into his office, i was present when the chief told him that his GOING TO PAY FOR THE TICKET OUT OF HIS PAYCHECK, 250.00. I WENT HOME AND THE OFFICE AND PARTNER CAME TO MY DOOR AND STARTED BANGING ON THE DOOR, YELLING AND SCREAMING AT ME, I CAME OUT WITH MY BADGE ON FEDERAL AND TOLD THE OFFICERS THERE GOING TO JAIL, ! THE CHIEF SHOWED UP TOOK THERE BADGES AND GUNS AND THEY WERE ASRRESTED . THERE SERVING 90 IN PROTECTIVE CUSTOSY AND THEN I FOUND OUT THE WERE BAD COPS , AND WERE FIRED AFTER THE 90 DAYS.
So what he there he doing what legal bye bye fire these guys
I didn't know you don't have rights when it's late at night? 🤔
Wasting our money and time
"I'm just trying to make sure you guys can be here."
How will my ID answer that question?
Maybe because your adress is on the back of your ID? Duh....
Jeez... thanks for "allowing" me to continue to carry on with what I was legally doing.
Cops are insane!
