Seems you are right about dealerships struggling, Just heard greentrees is selling up in Norfolk, been there since the 60s I think, soon won't be much left in Norfolk 😢
Hi Mark can you tell me what the panels behind the cushions that keep them off the walls are called please? We'd like to get one added behind the top of our mattress as it sits directly on to the rear wall . Thanks.
Cleaned my caravan yesterday getting it ready for Easter but noticed I've got circle marks on window where someone has washed it before I brought with rong sponge is there a polish I can use to get circle scratches out cheers.
There are many polishes my recommendation is to just use an all in one. To keep it simple you can go to Halfords and get a Maguire all in this will polished the scratches out and add a coating to make them shine. Other advice is don’t hunt for perfection stand back and if it looks ok it is ok. Don’t use snow foam on a caravan because it is not designed for that snow foam is designed for cars which has a much smoother paint finish and ideally where the paint finishes protected and what happens this is it grabs a lot of the excess dirt and pulls it off the car. It won’t do that to a caravan what it made it was. If you’ve got a protection on the Caravan it will start to strip that protection so you better off, just swelling it off with water. A professional detailer. There are so many people that make mistakes when cleaning Caravans and cars.
@jamesfoote8916 Use a PH neutral snow foam...if you get the snow foam thickness correct it will easily dwell long enough to clean the caravan bodywork just make sure it's rinsed off gently not pressure washed off. Personally given the newer car detailing products like Gyeon Bathe+ ceramic car shampoo and Gyeon Wet Coat spray and rinse ceramic coating I wouldnt bother snow foaming a caravan these days and leaving a lot of sticky foam on the ground to rinse away .
Yea there was some angry scenes outside Robinsons at chesterfield last week people’s caravans that had gone in for services and repairs stuck inside the security guards nearly got lynched police came and told them to give there caravans back 🙈
Mostly yes , typically for most areas use PH neutral non abrasive products...like GYEON BATHE+ car shampoo is ideal which ceramic coats your van as you shampoo it. As an amateur car detailer once you've cleaned your caravan give it a spray with GYEON WET COAT which is a ceramic coating that activates when it comes into contact with the rinse water (you don't even have to wipe it!) ...spray on to a clean van rinse off...done! The wheels and tyres can be done with a new product from Autoglym which is Autoglym All Wheel Cleaner...spray on...agitate the clingy gel which sticks to vertical surfaces leave for a few mins while the fallout remover turns your alloys purple as it dissolves the iron contaminants left on wheel by brake dust then rinse leaving wheels AND TYRES looking brand new. I wouldnt risk going near a caravan with a magic sponge in case you damage any bodywork...pink stuff works just as well
Used the car products much better in being clean, only thing, day after next door knocked over some rail sleepers landing on the spotless van just done, with wheelie bin going down the side of it to, so nice clean with a large gash and dints🤦♂️ have offerd to pay but no mobile body caravan repairs, so a trip to a caravan repair, the dreaded empty to take and then refill.

Hi, breather boards. It's basically caravan 3mm wall board on 10mm battern. 👍

Not a nice feeling if they had your caravan. Glad everything got sorted and everyone got their caravan out. 👍
You said dont use the magic sponge on the body work
Yes dont do it. It can be done, but it's like using 1000 grit sand paper, so slightly too much and you will go through the paint
TFR with wax Brilliant
Can we use car products? There so much contradiction out there to say dont as to harsh? Be easier as have all that anyhow.

Hi thanks for your reply, i use auto finesse products on the car, one is aqua coat which is probably the same principle as gyeon wet coat?
Hi
Yes it is

Melamine Sponge, very very abrasive, great for plastic but dont go mad
