Good video! I’ve had the DCD800 for months now and use it 5 days a week, about 3-6 hours of the day it gets used and abused. It’s definitely built solid like a tank. I also have the DCD805 hammer drill for drilling into concrete, and absolutely no issues at all, another tank with solid build quality. Dewalt has definitely stepped up their game!
I have the Atomic 708 and love it and use it 90% of the time, I bought the 805 and yes the hype is real ,it is very powerful and solidly built and compact.
Way, West better video. More dynamic, voice is clear and has volume to it not flat as it was before, lighting is very good much better. You are bringing this channel to a completely new level Dave
Great drill. You no This new style or video is cool but I still think you need to still do videos with you in them. If you put both together then you have a real good channel to watch.
Has the verses video come out yet? I can't find it. I'd love to see this new XR 800 going head-to-head with it's predecessor and even one of it's bigger brothers like the 996.
Of all your videos Ive ever watched I've never seen you drive in a dry wall screw or use the clutch setting. I like that even though u like to go straight to the tough stuff. I don't even own a DeWalt tool and I want it only if they put a hammer feature on it
I noticed when the revised 2ah came out that the dimensions are a bit larger. It seemed to happen around the same time the powerstack came out so I'm betting it was to improve the size comparison
Hola mi amigo tengo una pregunta las baterías se deben cargar al 100% antes de usar por primera vez o se deben de utilizar y descargarlas antes de ponerlas a cargar? Muchas gracias
Hmm 🤔 🧐 that different 4ah battery is interesting.. the slim 4ah has 21700s already so I wonder why a fatter XR 4ah battery 🔋 Can’t wait to see the comparison with old Dewalt XR compact hammer drill.
Recently bought one from screwfix in the UK, £299, came with 2x 5ah powerstack batteries and the charger, but a free 5ah standard battery and dewalt giving away a 3rd 5ah powerstack turned out to be a pretty decent bargain.
and like pretty much all of dewalt's mainline stuff, no emergency kickback shutoff and no foregrip attachment. So basically an _unsafe_ 900 UWO wrist breaker for anyone who uses forstner bits xD fun. VROOM VROOM!
@@ManCaverTools Fair enough but you could just compare the drilling and driving capabilities of the 800 versus the 999 perhaps please . Thanks for your excellent informative videos .
Hey David I got a question about the DeWalt dcd800e2 kit I got the other day off Amazon at the DeWalt Store the drill makes a slight not so very loud squeal on low rpm but at mid to high rpm seems fine just only at low rpm and I notice it more when switching from forward to reverse and back to forward the sound only lasts for 1-2 seconds then it's gone the drill has plenty of power no issues there what do you think will it will be OK? maybe use it for a week or two to see if the sound goes away? Thx Walter
Please make a video on the Milwaukee m18 1inch sds drill pleases no one has a video on the video and a versus video with Milwaukee, dewalt, Hilti, makita and ryobi
I have the Dewalt DCH273 1 inch SDS Plus rotary hammer and it works amazing. The only issue I have with it since day one is when your in chipping mode the bit gets stuck in the out position. You have to slam it in to get it to hammer the bit again. It could be the bits I’m using, but I always grease it up before using. I’ve taken it apart to see if there’s anything wrong, but all looks good.
The 800 drill and the 850 impact will fit in the smallest dewalt tool bag. the 805 doesn't fit as easily. Thats with the battery charger, 5 ah XP battery. impact bits and small drill bits case
@@ManCaverTools I’m sure it is good for pros too, but I’m just thinking as for I’m mostly diy and this drill is small and compact and seems like it would be perfect
you mean like drilling out holes through wood? that's not a real test for a drill driver? or driving in screws with a drill driver? your right. who uses drills for those tasks
Milwaukee fanboys (not regular users): well my fuel hammer drill is bigger and better and stronger and has a handle! This is stupid! This is a COMPACT drill. Don’t compare apples to oranges. If you want to see the fuel hammer drill get tossed around by a less expensive & better competitor there is the XR DCD996, 998 Power Detect & 999 FlexVolt Advantage. 😐

Out of all the dewalt drills I own this is my favorite. All great tools

@@interman7715 the same, but 805 not delicate at 1 like 708. To much power, not for DIY.
I am a contractor and I use the 805 on 16mm by 600mm auger bits through solid pine and hardwood beams ,it does it in speed 2 which is nuts !!
I been impressed with the new Atomic Impact Wrenches as well As the new 12v Xtreme Line
I agree, I use the atomic impact wrench at work and the 12 volt ratchets love them all
i like how you push the limits while testing.
Great review! Looking forward to the upcoming Head 2 Heads!
Thank you Belts and Boxes
I love the voice over approach in this video instead of live it seems more professional (im guessing it's a voice over due to you knowing the time)
I just bought one ,the power is unbelievable!!!!

Great video good editing very entertaining Dave
I like your new style for the videos with commentary on top!
I thank you Will
Impressed it did the 4 and 1/8 hole dozer
Nice! Looking forward for the next videos.
Loving the new video style, the only way I can explain it is like sports announcers giving you the play by play. Nicely done!
I thank you bro
Bro you need to try the fastcap quick release mandrel. No rethreading the hole saw to the mandrel. Awesome design
Hola mi amigo sin mirar el tamaño de la herramienta solo importando la potencia cual escogerías el 791 o el 800?
Muchas gracias
I'm not a fan of DeWalt, but the light on that drill is a great idea.
It's a amazing light I love mine. The 20min option is a little brighter 😆
I'm loving what dewalt is doing with there tools! I wished the power detect would look alot like the one in this video in the future! Thats my hope

After seeing your 12v comparison! You must clearly be sponsored by Dewalt!

If you hold It by where the battery goes In with 1 hand its not that bad but yeah these drills get kinda janky sometimes lmao
what is "not too shabby."
i couldnt watch with audio after the second time i heard it. but great review!...🔌

DeWalt has killed FY22. Absolutely killing it. They got lazy for a while. But every new release this year has been segment topping.
Is this available in the UK?
I am not sure
Adjustable work light is neet
How bout drilling into 1/4 steel?
it will be able to do that, but you will need a good bit for that
