My overall impressions of this were underwhelming. The biggest issue I had was that the que times for a match can be up to 8 minutes because people do not ready up. Most people on the beta world are spamming specific fights they want to do, like pure nh or dh, and there is no quick way to challenge that person and have both players in the exact desired load out. There were no rules you could set for unranked challenges. I would love to see people do duels without prayers, specific attack styles etc... Lastly each build only had 1 saved load out. Hopefully we can make more in the future. Like you, I'm excited to get better at pk'ing, I just hope that a few more quality of life changes are made post beta launch
I 100% agree with this. After playing in the arena all night there's some glaring problems. Long queues Only NH Briding layouts and fights And lack of presets / layouts. Hopefully enough people bring it up in the Q/A today to Jagex's attention.

Don't ever change your content for sponsors in the future. It's why I subscribed in the first place. I don't mean OSRS content, but rather the candor of the subject matter of your content. Keep up the great work.
Im not sure if you said it on purpose but I think only the inbue scroll and the surge/wave spell sacks and something else is coming into the game. the ornament kits are not going to be in the shop

Played off and on since 2005 here. So the no risk practice is cool for new players, but I think what us old players miss is simply the wild being packed with people, even on non pvp worlds. Making every time you go into the wild nothing but a pure adventure. You could run into a dragon bot, or a maxed account at mage Bank who forgot to bank its gold on the way to a clue. A mid level account that's killing drags that you rush for a couple 100k drop that comes back with a friend to get revenge and then all of a sudden you bring your friends and so on and so forth till you have a huge battle. Accidently running into a clan in the wild. I mean it was just a random adventure every time. You have the old legends that used to pk some who still make vids like boaty or Spark mac, and others who quit/hardly play now like I mahatma I ect ect. It made runescape what it is today by going super viral on RUclips with montages. Most of the changes they are making are good for new players, but at the same time it keeps losing what made the game so addicting in the first place in other areas. That said I'll probably never quit fully the grind is too addictive and they have done wonders on the pvm front compared to 2005. That said I feel like making friends in game is alot harder now a days.
I think the player base has just moved past that honestly. We've all played for years and know the good areas to grind and don't want to waste our precious hours. I'd love for them to recreate that feeling but I think we've all just out grown it personally. I know exactly what you mean though. The BH craters and hoping no one spots you as a kid was a once in a lifetime thing.

Got back into osrs few months ago. I want to pk but I get smacked in LMS and I'm not losing mils to learn so I'm excited for this.
Excited for the update glad a way to test out gear differences and practice PvP without the risk of PK'ing when ur not an experienced fighter.
I've never done runescape pvp (same with loving pvp in WoW tho), but I will be checking this out
