Genius dude! The swivelling fence and usage of the existing slots in the metal table. No fancy T-tracks or other complex adjustment mechanism required. Of all the drill press tables on YT, I'm building this one!
Sergio, I love watching your videos. For me the best thing is you tell us what you are thinking not just what you are doing. " it is quite easy...", "I want to...", " To avoid holes , I use..." etc. It just makes your videos so much more informative. Thank you for all the great videos.
I'm still a beginner wood worker ( 3 years ) building mostly end tables and coffee tables for family and friends. I Just( 2-8-22) found Sergio's channel and am so glad I did.
There are many drill press table videos on youtube, but this one is the most direct and simple. Does not require extra fancy tools or jigs. Only thing I'd add would be some kind of hold-down mechanism because sometimes the work piece could try to spin on you while drilling. To the commenter below ... he's referring to a marquetry piece, which is a veneer-type sheet. Hardboard would be a viable alternative for the insert.
I have looked at a lot of people making these and I think yours looks like the best and easiest way to do it. Think I will be using your idea to make one the same as yours. Thank you very much for your video.
A friend cleaned up an old Atlas drill press and gave it to me, so I have been researching various ways to use it. I really like your channel. It demonstrates using brains over a big budget. Thank you for making your approach available to the public. It is good stuff!
my wife got me a drill press for christmas. only one more week until i get to play with it. i like this simple table idea and will likely fashion something like it as well.
paul k It’s incredible how much you use them once you have one. I’m really new to woodworking and I can cut a decent mortise with it, my tendons need some improvement though!
Thank you Sergio. Very well done description and video of how to make this table top for my drill press. I have started making it and am almost complete. Can't wait to finish. Looking forward to any new helpful ideas that you may have.
Thank you very much 😀. Now I have a new professional drill press (you can watch the unboxing in my channel), so sure I will make a new version of this drill press table 😁
Great idea! I've made one for myself today but because I don't have a router, I used two pieces of plywood on top of each other. I sawed the top piece in three parts at a 45 degree angle to get a removable insert that is held in place by the angled parts on the sides. I had my doubts about the swinging guard bar but it really works better than a fixed one. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.
Hallo Sergio, greetings from Austria... nice work. i like your simply and easy ideas... through your videos , i find a way to make the same simple things for my shop... don't change your way!
I really like your presentations. They simplify things and are encouraging for beginners like myself. The modified clamps are really something else! Gracias por compartir todo con nosotros.
Very nice video Sergio. Your English is good too. I enjoyed your pragmatic approach with simple tools to get a good result. Well done! Best regards from Rob in Switzerland.
Thanks Sergio, made a temporary version for my press today, works really well. Love your videos they are really useful for people who cannot buy the top quality tools
You make excellent videos. They seem very real and give me a feeling that I can copy what you've done. So many other videos are made by expert craftsmen who have years of training and experience and they make everything 'seem' simple but when I try to copy what they do it all goes wrong and I give up. Your help is at my level and this encourages me. Best of all, you use proper measurement units ie mm, etc., - not funny things called inches and fractions. Thank you!
The video, step by step. No assumption that you know terms that are used to skip on other videos. Each step is clear and precise . A first rate presentation. The tips on the router alignment, was of use to me as I don’t use the router to its full potential.
Great little table, it beats the one I made, I must copy it, if that is alright, Sergio. A tip I can pass on to you. Your drill press looks very similar to mine. To enable me to raise & lower the table, I used an old scissor jack, making it fit the support webbs under the table. I also made a handle for the end of the jack, in order to turn it. It is not perfect, but it does make raising & lowering the table a lot easier. Best Regards Geoff
+Sergio Acuña Padin You are very resourceful with the language; I only speak English but live in Thailand and have not succeeded with Thai. So my congratulations to you! However, to reduce your translation efforts, you could omit many words where the "actions speak for themselves". This would allow the viewer to think a bit more about what they see. Then you only need to explain the other parts that are not so visibly obvious. Laura Kamph, Koln, and Get Hands Dirty, Porto are 2 woodworking ladies that say very little except where necessary, so you could experiment a little with that style and await feedback from your English speaking viewers. Then you can relax a bit and have a beer! 😀

Exactly. Thanks Sergio!
The table looks good and functions very well. You did great job of making it. Thanks for sharing this build.

Thank you very much.
Wow. Simplicity at its best. I love it! Making one today!
Brilliant, by far the most simple instructions to follow. My drill press should be arriving tomorrow, so now I know my first job.
At first i was not sure a drill press table would be very useful, but it is indeed 😃
my wife got me a drill press for christmas. only one more week until i get to play with it.

Simple, and simple is what I need for mine. Thanks!

Thank you so much Sergio. I have been looking for a method to do this for a while. Great video.
Very informative video, I am going to copy this on my drill press table which I will make this weekend. Thank you very much ... from South Africa.

I enjoyed your video. It was very helpful. Thank you!
Great video thank you
You make great videos Sergio Thankyou!
Was skeptical until I saw it. Yes, I do need one of these. Thank you.
When working with long pieces, like wooden strips, it is helpful to have a nice surface instead of the little metallic drill press table top :)
Excellent! Thank you for sharing, Phil
Great detailed video, Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching :D
