The actual gear selector looks nice and the way it is integrated looks extra cozy. For some reason they just can't be bothered to build proper geared transmissions anymore nowadays. Why don't they build a proper 4 speed torque converter? It would fit perfectly for the car, and sound a million times better as well.
I noticed that the Micra doesn't automatically lock its doors when going over about 20km/h. I've tried about everything to enable this feature somehow, but am not able to. I can't help but wonder: don't all new cars have this feature as standard?
No, not at all. Me and my wifes car cost 40000'ish euros, does not have automatic lock. Super stupid but, brands try to reduce manufacturing costs cutting some small technology, like in the micra. Even the first micra version has manual rear windows. It's almost random to find the lock doors system.
CVT are great at pulling away real smooth but when you want power out of them they scream, personally a torque converter or a DCT is more better experience

Many people hate driving the CVT transmission. What was your experience?
CVT are great at pulling away real smooth but when you want power out of them they scream, personally a torque converter or a DCT is more better experience
@asterixxer Meanwhile I drive one, too. And I love it.
@@Peppermintjack Honda did it where they used to put fake gear changes on the CVT to make it sound more like a conventional gear box
@@aztekarchive Nissan did that, too. I wouldn't have needed that.
