    I just drove past the Avant factory yesterday. Good luck with your purchase! I've used one 15 years ago to move FullSize hay bales.
    Every farm here has one. Even my neighbor in the suburb has a small old one to plow snow.

    I think I would just go with a Mecalac for a little more and have the excavator and skid steer rolled into one.

      @nkraemer Месяц назад

      The Mecalac is an amazing machine, and I was thinking about getting the 6mcr as well - I ended up going with the Avant 755i only because I was going to use it nearly every day and I didn't want to rip up my property with the tracks of he mecalac - the avant is very gentle to the landscape since it articulates to steer - but it's is no match to the power of the mecalac

      @@nkraemer I do like the avants for that, they are nice. I live in the South West where we have cactus and thorns that will eat tires for lunch, and a lot of sand where machines will dig themselves up to the belly easily. So I like the pushing power of tracks as well as not going outside to a machine with flats every time I go to use the tractor. If you have to do demolition, then the tracks will hold up against nails and rebar as well. They are destructive you you have to turn to abruptly. Plus the lack of suspension in a tracked machine will beat you up all day too.

    Thank God, finally a review that doesn't show the machine actually doing work. So sick of seeing machines in action - refreshing to see a nice talking brochure in video form.

    2:25 Wonder why they went with a proprietary quick hitch ?

    • @GrowingABetterTomorrow
      @GrowingABetterTomorrow  Месяц назад

      Thanks for your comment, @currentfaves65! The choice of a proprietary quick hitch can be a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, it ensures a perfect fit and optimal performance with the manufacturer's attachments, which can enhance efficiency and safety. On the other hand, it limits compatibility with third-party equipment, which can be a downside if you're looking to use a variety of attachments. However, since they manufacture over 200 different attachments, this approach also draws in more buyers who are looking for multifunctional equipment. This wide range of options can make the proprietary system more appealing to those who want a seamless integration and a variety of functionalities from a single source.

    Hi Kevin. My son has a tree service. If my memory serves correctly, Avant has an attachment that can cut large limbs and lower them to the ground. He wanted/wants one, it would make a removal so much faster.
    Since you now have the "green machine", do you still need the hulk?
    Have a great day.

      I'm very curious how your going to use this new machine.

    • @GrowingABetterTomorrow
      @GrowingABetterTomorrow  Месяц назад +1

      Yes at this point there's still a lot of major earth-moving that needs to be done where I need both the excavator AKA Elon and the hulk. Our in the future the hulk may not be needed.

      I've been thinking about getting a loader; either track, or wheel. They seem so useful. When I saw your Avant, I thought maybe I could use it instead. Just curious, what makes the track loader better for major earth moving? It'd be nice to purchase one machine. I looked at Avant's website, they have a lot of attachments that would be very handy in tree work and I like that they don't tear up the yard so much. On my place, I have a lot of earthworks that I want to do, and a loader would come in so handy. If you had to choose one, what would you do knowing what you know now? Since you haven't used the green machine that much, I'm not sure you can answer that question, yet. But I'd definitely value your opinion.

      @@just4mewife You've made me start to put together an article addressing choosing the equipment needed for the goals and functions that a person or group has. I'll post a video on this as well. Great question.

    I shouldn't have watched this video (joking). I'm working on buying my first tractor this week. I'm also in CNY, so I subscribed to your channel.

      Hi @mekosmowski,
      Thanks for subscribing and for your comment! Congratulations on working towards buying your first tractor-it's an exciting milestone! I'm glad you enjoyed the video about introducing the green machine.
      As a fellow Central New Yorker, I know how important it is to have the right equipment to handle our unique climate and terrain. Whether you're dealing with snow in the winter or working on your garden and land in the warmer months, a good tractor can make a world of difference.
      If you have any questions or need advice as you make your purchase, feel free to reach out. I've learned a lot through trial and error, and I'm happy to share my experiences to help you make the best decision for your needs.
      Good luck with your purchase, and welcome to the channel! I look forward to seeing your progress and hearing about your experiences.
      Best,
      Kevin

      Just looked and they are running about $83K. To me that means it would be geared more towards a small, commercial use or for someone who has plenty of disposable income
