i have a 2009 ktm 450 exc if i don't ride for a few weeks the battery dies so then what ? guess you need to roll start it until the battery charges enough.seems like a hassle if you only get out for a ride once every month or two.
qwerty123627 get a good battery mate. I have a ktm no kicker on it. I've been injured the last month and walked into the shed tonight and it fired up first pop. Can't expect a haggard old shit battery to hold charge
Cheeper to rebuild, lighter, simpler but effective, easier too work on, require less TLC and maintenance, and depending on who you are bucket loads more of fun. At the end of the day 4 strokes are more suited to motocross, older people and those who are overweight and a lazy. Two strokes are more suited to more aggressive riders who enjoy the sound and smell of a two stroke. I don't hate 4 strokes but they have allowed people to become lazy and less skilful riders. Being able to ride a 2 stroke well is quite an achievement. Once you move from a 2 stroke to a 4 stroke you will be able to ride way better than those who have only ridden 4 strokes. Think of it like moving from a manual to an automatic car.
John Bictar I moved from a 125 2 stroke which was a fun bike but all it did was break down all time. Bought a ktm sxf 350 and that thing is lot easier to ride and less maintenance than the 125 I had
