Hey guys, hope you all enjoy this longer video! I’ve never edited so much! But here’s my take on 50 awesome mods that are worth trying out in Minecraft 1.16.5. I did a poll recently asking if you play Forge or Fabric, and the large majority said Forge, so I’ve focused this video on that mod loader. With that said, a lot of these are still compatible with Fabric, and you can scroll down in the description a little further to find some Fabric links! I wish that Miner Helmet was a real vanilla addition to 1.17, we are going to need it now more than ever.
Wait a minute, when i think about that yeah what heck Mojang it's a Cave And Cliff update.. they really should add that.
I like it but you can get lost if it is a first time into a new cave, I normally put torches on the left side so when I am coming back to the surface I know that if torches are on the right I am going back.
i think most people use fullbright/gamma or whatever so it doesnt add much

@@PwrDown Yo i wanted to play like 3/4 of that mods but when i launch them at 1.16.5 its written that every freaking mod is for other version and my javafml is not that these mods need. i downloaded every mod from links at your description and i really wanted to play them. Can you please help me ?

With immersiv Portals and Ather you can make it work, but idk if Ather has 1.16.5 versions

Building a 1.16 modpack rn. With the crapton of mods available and my taking a break from playing modded MC for years, their vids have been really helpful in finding the mods I want.

the only problem with that is when you need a shield while fighting and you cant hold both
u dont need mods all u have to do is
Press windows on your windows 10 pc
Type %appdata%
A folder should open
Go to minecraft
Right click on settings and then click open with notepad
And then look for a text with "gamma: 1.0"
Turn it into
"gamma: 100.0"
Now u can see through caves 😂

I wanted to add TerraForged, which is by far my most favourite world generation mod out there. It works with other generation mods and it provides realistic earth looking worlds (With some presets for more, or less chunk loading distance). Mixed with shaders is really really, beautiful!

Fun fact: I realized that the SecurityCraft works very well with gun mods: If you have a gun, pick a random camera, open up the monitor, choose which camera you want to use and go blasting. Great video!

Hey Pwrdown, I'm really surprised you didn't include more mob mods, as those tend to be the most impressive.
Wyrmroost is a great companion mod to Ice and Fire, as it adds a bunch of dragons of all different sizes, species, and varieties that you can interact with and tame.
Greek Fantasy also adds a lot of cool content, like Satyrs that play music, friendly Sparti Skeletons you can summon with dragon teeth, minotaurs, harpies, and more.
Straw Golems Reborn adds adorable straw golems that are an immense help with automated farming, as a nice alternative to Redstone contraptions.
And I know it's not technically a mob mod, but the Undergarden is better than the Abyss project in my opinion, just in terms of aesthetic.
If you haven't checked these mods out, be sure to give them a look, as they're constantly growing and updating.
Great suggestions! I recently covered a video for mobs on 1.16.5 :) but I think most of those where missing from it.

@@PwrDown Yeah, I noticed they were absent then too. Wyrmroost hasn't received the same exposure as Ice and Fire, mostly I think due to RLCraft's popularity. But honestly, I think it's on par if not superior to I/F, and they're definitely ambitious, with a new dimension and many ENORMOUS dragons coming with the next big update.
If you're looking for other really interesting mods, there's also Advanced Hook Launchers, which I find indispensable for easy Nether exploration; Simple Planes as a good and fun alternative to Elytra's, especially since they can be constructed very early in the game; and Da Vinci's Vessels for 1.12.2, which adds working boats and airships (and I desperately hope one day comes to later editions)
