How did it feel to experience the first hurricane ever recorded to hit Cost Rica? Fortunately it was just a cat 1 but still did a lot of damage. Hope your place survived without significant damage. I understand there was a 7.0 quake on the Pacific side as well. Don't know if you felt that from the other side of the mountains.

So its for sure an american tradition, we had to eat something different. yummie cheesecake instead of pumpkin pie!!
Yes, here we all use Lizano sauce for almost everything, how good they liked Costa Rican food. However you need to try many more dishes. When they want to come to Alajuela, (2 km from the airport - SJO), they have the open doors of my house. Here we could try some dishes. See you soon enjoy it.
