I appreciate the voiceover. It was a good choice. A pet peeve of mine is when a utuber doesn’t pay attention to audio quality and listening becomes annoying. You have a great voice by the way!

Thanks, interesting video as I plan to combo spin some chains of fibre as soon as I have finished my fractal spinning project. Pronunciation of breeds from different countries is often difficult. For instance Leicester, which is a City here in UK is pronounced Lester. 😀

I'm going to do my first combo spin and so I was very much interested in the prep. It makes a lot of sense. I was thinking that you just spin one braid, the next and the next and then combine them. I imagine there are many ways to do this but I would not of thought of this way and it does seem like it would produce a more harmonious look. I don't mind some surprise but I would like to know that the way I'm combining my fibers will make for a melodious end product. I was looking through your other videos to see how this spin progressed but couldn't find anything. Can you give us an update on that project? Thanks so much.

There are so many ways you can do a combo spin. You can definitely spin individual braids end to end and then chain ply them, or you could ply individual braids' singles together in a two or three ply. I find the method I showed here to be the best one if you want to get all of your colors well mixed. Occasionally you'll still end up with areas that are a little heavy in one color than others, but I find that to be part of the fun, and if you alternate skeins in projects, that will help even more to break things up.
I didn't record a follow video specifically for this project, though I talked about it in subsequent videos through when I finished the spin in April 2023. I do have final yardage notes and a picture of one of the finished skeins on my project blog though:
