You missed 2 steps by not actually removing the battery! There is a 13mm hold-down bolt on the left side of the battery. You need a 10 inch extension for your socket to reach it. Poor suckers would be pulling on that battery all afternoon. Also, the negative wire must be separated into 2 pieces, by undoing another 10mm nut. This way the big thick one goes to the left side, and the thin one (that connects to the battery) can drop down loosely. Battery then slides to the left before pulling up and out. You will need a second person/extra hand to hold that wire while you reinsert the new battery. Slide new battery to the right, reattach the 13 mm hold down bolt on the left side, and then pick up where you started missing steps by not actually removing the battery!
