Is it worth playing ZENITH in 2023?!

- I recently had a craving to play zenith again and it was definitely worth going back to try it out .Especially after the most recent patch which overhauled quite a lot in the game and has made it a game I can fully recommend.

game is much better now, Its cleaner, better mechanics, a better tutorial, pvp, pve, raids, a decent MMO story. But honestly partying with randoms and having fun raiding makes this game pretty darn awesome

But I honestly can't recommend the game anymore, the developers said that they're going to stop development on the last city, and instead put all their efforts into a new free to play dungeons of eternity style game. It's also going to be called Zenith realms, so the names are going to get mixed up. They said they will only continue development on the MMO if they make enough money from this new game

@@OfficialStreamSagaTv Yes its full of squeakers, expecially the f2p nexus. Most Meta store titles are, thats what happens when you lower the barrier of entry a bit to much.
Played it at release for a while, got to lvl 40 and enjoyed the ride very much. Just picked it up again yesterday and it feels like a completely different game, but not in a bad way. It's a lot cleaner and more focused.
one thing, the endgame grind becomes reaally steep, your character level after level 40 gets superceeded with the average item level (armor and weapons level for a maximum of 60) and that takes a lot of grind akin to what everybody is used to in traditional MMOs

I mean without grind it isn't truly a MMORPG no?
I mean yes and no as I don't think it should take 4 hours of grinding just to go from level 11 to 12 just to do the same thing to get from level 13 to 14 and so fourth. The game back then was extremely stale as for every few minutes of story you would do it would be accompanied by a 3 hour grind to get to the next level to do the next story quest and progress. On top of doing the same thing for hours on end the xp amounts would increase meaning more and more hours invested with the best part being if you wanted to take a break from level grinding there really wasn't much you could do as the more interesting content was only really accessible late game. Sorry for the long comment I just wanted to explain it a lot more because I feel I didn't get across how long it took to get to max level (more than 80 - 90 hours).
I recently just got back into anime and watched SAO, this game is EXACTLY what I was looking for, an MMORPG with classes, fighting styles, bosses and above all, awesome sword fighting, I’ll be getting this game in the next few days 100%!

Ill come back when they add the new race, like you said hitting 40 was a pain in the ass back then, so i didnt want to do it again and again and again with every new addition like cyber ninja and the new race, so imma wait for both to be out at the same time then come back.

Did they changed the battle mechanics its sucks before . If they will be able to make the battle like blade and sorcery or until you fall ill play it again.
My biggest problem with Zenith is that I never figured out how to effectively play it with other people. We are always on different quests serving different things.
Also it is buggy, I had one of my hands disappear mid battle, and I couldn't get it back. The controller was still working at the meta quest menu, but not in the game.
Your video is already 50x better than the top video covering zenith, and i'm 10 seconds in.

Why is there a wall of text covering the enemies you fight in some scenes? Is that a quest tracker? Can it not be all over the enemy, like, on the arm instead? Sorry. I'm someone who remembers absolutely every quest I am doing and I don't like clutter.

I got this game a few days after its release and I only played like 8 hours of it before quitting. The game was wayy too confusing and it was too hard to level up. I might start playing again when my quest 3 arrives
obviously a destiny guy based on your music choice, would you say this is a better alternative to destiny at least until final shape?
Hi, sorry for the late response but didnt want to put a rushed answer. Zenith starts out like a simple old school rpg with you slowly discoverying your playstyle and gaining experience but later becomes a tedius gear level grind (which now that i think about it is very similar to how destiny is with the first few hundred power levels then the pinical grind). I will say that the main hook for me was the fun ability combos and movement ,which was also what got me hooked on destiny, which i can say zenith is very similar in how that is what also got me hooked the main difference being that zenith is pretty much all about abilities and cooldowns with extra abilities from armour only being helpful at the endgame as that is mainly when yoh will get legendary armour (also the abilities are not as impactful as exotics can be but are helpful and some do cool stuff). Abother thing is the dungeons and raids are the opposite of destiny usually with 1 or 2 really basic mechanics that will sometimes only be used for one encounter (talking about zenith) aka one where you kill enemies for pipes to do a pipe puzzle, but then you can also mechanics where youre doing a lazer puzzle reflecing multiple through different gates which only one person can hold open using a vavle they have to physically hold (because vr game) so it can be really hit or miss but if you dont want to have to memorize 20 diffetent symbols for mabe one good weapon then zenith is alot better for that ( oh and dungeons are alot simplar like one is the water rises and lowers with levers and that is it pretty much for most of the dungeon). All in all i would say zenith is a really safe game when it comes to mmos but doesnt really replace destiny 2 but it can be something nice to enjoy whilst we wait for final shape but the destiny story and gameplay (despite what we all say) is alot more refined than zenith but that is some of the charm about because you can tell that they are trying its just that not everything lands in the end. Zenith is a hollow shell of what a VRMMORPG could be with the right talent and an appropriate amount of resources. The dev team behind the game is scrappy to say the least, and that just doesn't cut it in this genre. I'm getting similar vibes from Ilysia.

Man... 6 years of funding, 35m in funding not including sales, and estimated $2m in sales on steam and in their words "95% of players on q2" means easily $100m in sales, not even including PSVR... Announcing cyberninja after like 2 months, not delivering for over a year (and it's not fully released) because of "Zenith 2.0" which... still... isn't out now... And now they announce they're now done working on the game in exchange for a new game with MICROTRANSACTIONS? Lol?
How's the player base on oculus?
Seen a few oculus players but the game is cross play so you can play with pc players aswell.
I prefer pcvr bcause the quality fps is much2 better if standalone quest 2 is all the enemy animation is so delay and there no way to block enemy attack bcause of the delay or lag animation
Hi there, could you answer me if I buy the game on the quest store, will I also have access to the Oculus/PCVR game?
If you buy the game on the oculus store you might have access to it on the both quest 2 and pc using the oculus app (I'm pretty sure that's how it works I looked it up). Other than that the game is cross play so as long as you have the game you can play with anyone on any platform.
@Not.Mafi0 I ended up buying the Meta Quest store version first just in case, but then on PC on Oculus Store the game showed a "GET" button, so yes got both versions! Thanks for your video.

personally i enjoyed the 15 hour grind to get levels
Game had potential. But it is still lacking in way to many ways to even write down.
For me the game is lacking from lvl 20 ish to 40.
The agent system for xp helped alot to lvl up. but it's really bad fix for the lack of content when leveling up.
I remember beeing stuck at 23 when i gave up. after the agent system was added, i got retroactive rewards and went from 23 to 40 just by clicking the rewards ^^

Doing dungeons is also booring, becouse 90% of the time it's lvl 40's with max gear who just rushed thrue it, not letting you do anything, so your just ending up following someone for the entire thing...
How did you get your game to look like this? My game is very blurry and too cartoonish. Im playing on max settings and it looks like shit.
In the graphics settings there's a option to change the contrast and stuff, so I fiddled around with them until I got it how I liked.

No - because it shuts down / switches to F2P with Microtransactions putting the MMO part on ice for a procedual coop game.

Ngl I think he got mixed up this sever was killing at first in the first day like almost every server was full then it went downhill from there and then the player base mega dropped after the new map

I played zenith a long time ago but deleted it because its pretty boring
Yh was really long b4 now the game is a lot more fleshed out like I say in the video with raids and dungeons to do all with somewhat different themes and mechanics. Whilst the gameplay loop of go here talk do thing talk next quest can get quite boring the main focus is to work towards doing harder activirti3s and getting that better gear that now can do some cool effects on top of your builds abilities

@@WhiteSaberTV proplem is, not alot of people are playing it, they are bleeding players, only thing that made zenith survive right now is becouse illisiya is a train wreck as well.
Game has potential, but just to many issues to even count and badly implemented mechanics to hide the lack of content.
