Hi guys, I am a bit confused about one point though. You mentioned you can deploy 10 PSCs per site but www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere6/r65/vsphere-65-configuration-maximums.pdf documentation specifies 10 PSCs max per vSphere Domain. Is a vSphere Domain a site or is it short for vSphere SSO Domain in which case your statement would be incorrect. In any case, awesome series of videos! It's nearly as good as a formal course and way better to understand than pages of doco!
Great video guys, I'm really getting a lot out of this series. That blackboard "trick" is a fantastic tool. Did you guys have to go to a class to learn how to write backwards so well? ;) Note: Not sure the reference to AD PDCs is applicable, as the PDC emulator is a FSMO role and can be transferred to any DC (once there are other DCs online to transfer it to)in the domain, as opposed to the "good ole days" where the first installed DC was your PDC. That changed a loooong time ago. "Or maybe I just missed the point....wouldn't be the first time". Anyway, great video guys. Cheers!
What are the downsides to adding a PSC to a local "vsphere.local" SSO domain from a remote site with more than 100ms latency? I heard local PSCs need less than 10ms and remote PSCs need to be at 100ms or less. What about a remote site with triple that latency? Best practices?
