Have the same monitor with the same issue, opened it up and sure enough the same 3 caps were blown! Hopefully I can now fix it :) Thank you for taking the time to make this video, very informative and very much appreciated!
I send to professional, and I said to check capacitors :) Before open he told me, that it is not like than capacitors died. But then opened and found the same problem. Thank you :)
@@0huat0 +1 thanking you here. The one I have was developing issues, intermittently not turning on after just 11 years :D. Your video gave me the confidence needed to replace the capacitors today. Good as new!
Switch you MM to DC . Use an Oscilloscope. Any Ventented Capacitor Expanded is a sign of Distress and failure. Test them separately as they are often parallel connected. Capacitors do fail after 5++ years.
I got the same. A couple of months ago it was just the same mistake like you. A few minutes ago i tried it again and suddenly it works! But while I’m searching a cable for connection it was black. Can it be? Because damage is damage. So I not sure. Can it be that it works when capacitor is dead?
Is it possible to disassemble LCD panel of my laptop . . My intention is to replace WLED strip with one of my choice . . Is it possible to disassemble any LCD panel without breaking the LCD. . Thanku
Hello, my 22 screen hp monitor does not have a vertical half screen. 2 470uf 25 v capacitors on the motherboard have exploded, so is there a half screen error or there is a cof fix demi problem. Do you think it will be fixed if I change the capacitor?
I left my computer for 1 month without powering it up, when I came back my monitor just didn't turn ON, no red light signal or anything. Tried to plug it on some other power supplies but still no sign of it powering up. Do you think it's the same problem as yours ?
It's possible! Open the casing and do a visual check. Check if any capacitor have a bulging top. You can also use a multimeter to check, like how i did in the video. Be careful when you handle with power.
@@0huat0 I actually did all of that before you answered haha So it seems some capacitors are dead ( one of them is still flat on the top ) so I just ordered some as you did, thanks for the tutorial bro ! Now I'll wait for the order to come and weld them
@@TempurusTV If they are the same monitors they are not held together with glue. You just need some force to pop the sucker open. Just changed my Capacitors and the monitor now works perfectly. Good luck man.
Thanks for the feedback! There's many LG case opening video. You should be able to find the video you need by searching keyword "w2261vp disassemble". I've some monitor case opening video in my channel too.

Thanks for checking up with me. I'm not professional repair man. I guess the fault might be more than capacitor.
Flatron W2261VP keys are self-pressing, is there any repair?
same here, did you find any solution?

nice video but how did you opened the monitor? i didn't find anything to open it - thank you
and your link video doesn't show this monitor
JUst incase you are still wondering you just pop it open with spudgers or knives all around the front bezel, there are no screws of any kind
@@davependragon1 thanks but I'm still trying to open it. the top an bottom ist almost off just the sides are still closed. strong like glue

hey Jonathan. Could you help me please? I believe I have a faulty monitor PSU board. Is it true that it should turn on if I short +5V and ON/OFF pins?
Would have been useful to show how the case comes off....
